Ned helped us have the most incredible vacation ever! We rented two bikes from him in Zagreb; Put the bikes on a bus to Split where we began our ride. We took the ferry to Stari Grad then rode the bikes up and down the island of Hvar. We then worked our way over to the island of Korcula. After riding there we rode part way to Dubrovnik. The terrain was absolutely breathtaking! Very hilly; we're glad that we belong to a bike group and had quite a lot of biking under our seats before September. By the way, beginning of September is the best time to ride. Not so much traffic, and not too hot! Ned answered any questions I had before we started our trip and any questions we had during our trip! It was comforting; We felt as though he was watching over us. He carefully set us up on the bikes before we started. Ned let us put our own pedal clips and seats on his bikes. We also brought our own saddlebags and tools. It was simple to send his bikes back from Dubrovnik to Zagreb. Just a little stress, hoping that the bike would get on a bus back. It ended up, not being a problem because tourist season was winding down. It cost us $30 Canadian to send the two bikes back; Dubrovnik to Zagreb. Ned gladly picked the bikes up for a small fee at the other end. The bikes were comfortable enough and the cost turned out to be better than shipping our bikes and dealing with the hassle of storing bike boxes etc. If you want to rent a bike; Ned is the best guy to go to in our opinion!
