The Permaculture Country Club

Disc golf in an Eco Village. We offer a championship quality disc golf course in a massive beyond organic food forest. It starts at the living roof modern homes and continues past the salt water swimming pools. The first tee is over terraced organic gardens. The fairway is flanked by a 20,000 gallon farmaponic pool with a fountain. The fountain produces tens of thousands of tilipias and organic fertilizer for the dozens of raised bed vegetable gardens in the green houses behind it. The first disc golf green is before the equestrian training ring. The course continues through a food forest that runs along a stream. The disc golf is part of our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, The Permaculture Country Club. It is centered in our more than sustainable community, Saint Michael's Sustainable Community. We have luxury homes made from trash, Shipping containers, 6 gardens on roofs, and more. Our systems of regenerative agriculture a model for a better world.

I visited the Permaculture Country Club for the Costa Rican Nation Championship Disc Golf Tournament. I stayed in one of the airbnb properties on site and had an amazing visit. The property is set up on a hill and surrounded by jungle with high views of the coast below. Nearly everything on the property is edible or medicinal and treat to learn about. The property hosts the best disc golf course in all of Costa Rica. Being set in a semi remote area the property is host to a ton of amazing wildlife. Each day I saw toucans outside my window along with tons of other tropical birds. We found treefrogs and lizards all over. There have also been sightings of caiman, and sloth and macaws on the property. If you are looking for somewhere beautiful to get away and peacefully relax or go out and play some jungle disc golf, then this is 100% the place for you. It is one the absolute best places I have visited in Costa Rica.

I have spent many many enjoyable hours playing poker at the Amapola poker room in Jaco, CR. The poker room has a bar, great italian restaurant (best pizza in Jaco amongst other items on a full menu) a knowledgeable and friendly staff that will go out of their way to accomodate you. The dealers are amongst the best I have ever seen and the poker room manager makes fair and accurate decisions when needed. The room has several tables that are usually active. The games are honest and the players are both friendly and provide plenty of action. I have taken a bunch of friends to play poker at the Amapola and they all have had a wonderful experience, win or lose. If you like poker, great food and an active bar, I recommend that you visit the Amapola poker room on your next visit to Costa Rica.

Costa Rica Escape Bus

THE ESCAPE BUS The only Escape Room in the Central Pacific zone of Costa Rica is located in Jaco...What Are We... Exactly? What is an Escape Room? An escape room, also known as an “escape game”, is an interactive adventure game in which players solve a series of puzzles and riddles using clues, hints, and strategic thinking to complete the objective at hand. Players are given a set time limit to solve the secret plot which is hidden within the rooms. What is an Escape Bus? We have two escape themed rooms – Lost Treasure~A Pirate Escape and the Cartel Murders~A Crime Scene Investigation! Each room is interactively centered on the story line and the rooms are built for 2-6 people. Traditionally, some escape buses are mobile – OURS IS NOT! The bus will not physically move – therefore, the only journey you will be on is the one which begins when you enter the escape room of your choice.

Jaco Art Tour

I was born and raised in San José, but life in the city was not for me. After studying plastic arts at the University of Costa Rica, I took a leap of faith and decided to move to the beach. Jaco is now my home! I was always a very creative person, and in 2013 I started a brand called "La Tómbola" from where I developed various projects. Since then I have been making products and services on the Pacific coast!

Los Campesinos Reserve

We are an excellent option for rural tourism, we offer accommodation in rustic rooms with balcony, private bathroom and hot water, guided hiking trails, gazebos, suspension bridges, cable ferry, typical food prepared firewood Costa Rica, natural pools, waterfalls forests, rappelling tour and transportation. Excellent for couple, family or friends, would be a pleasure to attend.

We visited from manuel antonio. It was a long drive (1hr 10min) but well worth it for the waterfall views, hanging bridges and most of all swimming. Oh and a wonderful lunch. Give yourself 2hrs before lunch if you like to swim at the two falls, otherwise you can easily hike the trails in an hour. We did self guided because we were here to swim not view wildlife. The trails are well marked and short so no need for a guide unless you looking for wildlife. Hanging bridges are fantastic, really high up, great view falls, solidly engineered. The drive here goes through a couple villages so it is interesting but half the drive is on some very rough pot holes roads. The final 6km or so is dirt but very smooth, I was thinking they must frequently maintain it. Didn't feel 4x4 is necessary to this place. Enjoy your experience.
