Been drinking here since it first opened in August 2016. Amazingly friendly atmosphere and very fair prices. Chris, the owner, is very down to earth and welcoming. Community pub in a great town. One of the best I have ever visited

Fairhaven Lake

Fairhaven Lake is one of the borough's most popular attractions. Nestled between Lytham and St Anne's, a salt water lake, positioned directly on the coast next to Granny's Bay and Stanner Bank. Enjoy the many recreational facilities provided, motorboat, canoe and rowing boat hire. For the less adventurous there is an electrically powered motor launch, enjoy the cruise and enjoy the scenery from the launch on a 10-15 min cruise. Lakeside facilities include a cafe and the RSPB Discovery Centre. The lake is one of the most important wildfowl locations in Europe, with a group of more than 250 Canada Geese, several Swans (including a solitary Black one) and many coots, water hens and other smaller fowl.

Fairhaven United Reformed Church (The White Church)

The White Church is a unique building just a couple of minutes from Granny's Bay, Fairhaven Lake and the RSPB shop. The Church was formed as Fairhaven started to grow in the early 1900's and the at Lytham saw the potential for setting up a new Church in the area and on 4th May 1904, Fairhaven Congregational Church (now Fairhaven URC) was opened in what is now the Church Hall. Fund raising continued and gradually work progressed on the main Church Building, known locally as the 'White Church' because of the white faced tiles used in it's construction and the grand opening was held on 17th October 1912. The Church is Byzantine in style and attracts many visitors who come to admire the building and its beautiful windows. The Church is open to visitors Thursday and Sunday afternoons; you can also visit the Church during the Thursday morning Coffee morning that starts at 10.30 am (the bacon barms are highly recommended) and, of course, you're also very welcome to join us for Sunday morning worship starting at 10.45 am.

Well worth a visit to see the remarkable stained glass. The congregation were friendly, but elderly. They are in the catch 22 position of wanting to attract young people, but being unable to offer much to attract them until some young people attend.

Visiting lytham for bank holiday weekend didn’t book a seat but managed to get a seat. Great pub with superb bar staff especially the man jiggling the seats to ensure everyone got one. Looks like it will be my local for the weekend!

Lytham Windmill

Windmills have featured in Lytham's history for hundreds of years. In 1805 Richard Cookson sought and obtained a lease from the Squire for a plot of land on which to build a 'windy milne'. Later, in 1860, when the prestigious houses in the area were being built the residents looked upon the Windmill as an "industrial nuisance"! On the 2nd January 1919, a tremendous gale turned the sales despite the powerful brake and sparks ignited the woodwork. The Windmill was quickly ravaged by fire, the interior being entirely gutted. The Windmill remained derelict until 1921, when it was given by the Squire to the Lytham Urban District Council. In 1989, the Windmill was restored by Fylde Borough Council and opened to the public. Lytham Windmill is run in partnership with Fylde Borough Council and Lytham Heritage Group.
