Cocoa & Heart

Artisan Bread baking courses and Chocolate Making workshops run in small groups in our Victorian Kitchen. Run by experienced chocolatier and baker Magdalena Marsden with more then 17 years of experience. We also run mobile chocolate workshops for birthday, hen or children parties.

I attended the Tempering Workshop with Magdalena and thoroughly enjoyed her help and great knowledge around anything to do with Chocolate I learned so much from her and feel now that I can try out things at home, knowing that most disasters can be rescued. We could take home everything we made, and some extras from Magdalene to start us off at home. Highly recommended course in a lovely house. I'm hoping to go back for more soon.

Twickenham Fine Ales

Founded by Steve Brown in 2004 Twickenham Fine Ales has been at the forefront of the resurgence of breweries in London. Using whole hops sourced from around the world and only the finest UK malted barley, Twickenham produces a fine range of well hopped, award winning beers. We supply beer in cask, bottle and keg to pubs and clubs within 30 miles of Twickenham. The brewery shop opens to the public selling beer from Monday to Saturday (see website for times). Five beers are available in bottles and draught beers can be bought in quantities from 2 pints to 72 pints. The brewery bar that open before selected international and Saturday Harlequin rugby games.

Have come to love the Twickenham Fine Ales beers over time, so thought it was only right to visit the brewery before a Harlequins match. At £3.50 a pint for some of the freshest beers you're going to get, you can't go wrong. With very few seats, you're not going to be overly comfortable, but the place was packed and there was a great pre-game atmosphere. I really enjoyed the experience being sandwiched between home and away fans and the large brewing barrels - a fun experience!

Having been on one of Sara’s excellent bread making courses at Hen Corner, I was tempted to order their produce. The various sourdough breads (which I don’t buy - thanks to Sara’s excellent tuition!), pastries, jellies and eggs really are to die for. All in all, a real local treasure. I’ll be back for the cheese making!
