It was excellent choice to do something different in Sydney ! The economy program (starts with the drovers camp - how to make billy tea and tasting of fresh bake dampers . Then was demo of boomerang and whip crackling- very entertaining ! There was the working dog herding the sheep - the dog Bendi was just too clever ! The show ended with sheep shearing , very interactive and educational ). The hostress Tess was just brilliant ! She made us laughed so much, my family from Malaysia were very impressed. The staffs (Kellie, Maria, Nick) were so lovely. We felt so welcomed. The homestead, was definately better than what we had imagined. Its basic but clean and cozy. There was no internet and phone reception , which makes it perfect for people who really want to spend some quality time together without any technology interference. We brought Jenga with us, we went out for a walk, played with Bendi and had a few go with boomerang, we had a fantastic time !!! Thanks for the excellent hospitality .

Attended today with a large family group. The owners and staff were lovely and friendly. Lots of parking, easy to find. The tour was very informative, we picked yellow peaches. They were beautiful!! Great price. Once we’d finished we brought our own picnic and set ourselves up on their large lawn area overlooking the orchids. The owner was very quick to offer us two large cabanas which she brought out and set up for us for shade. The kids played football while us adults enjoyed some cold ciders made by Darkes! Great fun day that I would recommend to anyone!

A big thank-you to all the family at GVF! I recently stayed for 4 nights with my granddaughter (12 years old) and her little friend. We had the most amazing time. It really took me back to my childhood :-) Loved the hot chips (best I've ever had!!!) and everyone there had a smile and a yarn to share. The good old fashioned hospitality from Kathy and all her family was so refreshing and my granddaughter didn't stop enjoying all the rides and the animals. We will go back. Thanks again GVF!!
