10 Dance Clubs & Discos in Manchester That You Shouldn't Miss

March 14, 2022 Agatha Simes

Famed for its soccer team and music scene, which has produced the likes of the Smiths and Oasis, this center for sports and the arts is a down-to-earth and friendly city. The so-called Capital of the North has overcome industrial decline, bombing (in WWII and by the IRA) to become a confident and cosmopolitan city of well over two million. It is well served by a bus and light rail network. Top attractions include the Lowry art complex, arcade Affleck's Palace and Canal Street gay village.

O2 Ritz

Formerly HMV Ritz, gig venue & nightclub

Its a small intimate venue (if your used to the likes of MEN Arena), if you arrive on time for the doors to open you can head upstairs to the balcony and have a fab view of the stage. There are some bar stools to sit at but the majority of upstairs and downstairs is standing. There's also designated Disabled areas upstairs on either side of the balcony next to the stage for people who need seating and any additional help. There must be around 4-5 bars so their didnt appear to be much queuing for drinks (we didnt buy as we didnt want to lose our spot!) Sound, light and acoustics were brilliant! No matter where you were stood. Staff seemed happy, approachable and well organised. Security was super on the door on the way in. Couldnt have had a better night! Thanks O2 Ritz!

Albert Hall

Have seen many gigs at this venue and it has to be my favourite in Manchester. Just seen The Courteeners there tonight and the atmosphere was amazing. The venue itself is beautiful and the fact you have seating on the upper level is an added benefit. Get there early if you want a seat as these are unreserved. The stage is much higher up than at most venues which means you get a much better view. There are two bars, one down each side and they serve a good variety of drinks. They are a bit pricey, but better value than at the O2 venues.

Great night as per usual. Guaranteed a great night. Drink dance and be merry. Great staff and the addition of the club downstairs means you can turn up on your own or with 50 others you’ll be welcomed by a great team. Christabelle is a great member of the team As is Paul. Not forgetting the great dj. Who keep the dance floor continue full. Back next week. Cheers
