Our tour was from a cruise ship and was fabulous. Early in the day and without crowds as you would find at Pompeii. It was a resort village, populated with only a few slaves and caretakers when hit by a pyroclastic flow that covered the town to a depth of six meters, preserving it. Wonderful mosaics, frescoes and statues. Photographers will enjoy the subjects of buildings, streets, art, and houses. Do not suggest a tripod, my DSLR with a zoom lens was all I needed. Some rooms are dark, so anticipate using a high ISO. Take shots from the rim above before walking through the tunnel to be in the village. Then you will use the wide-angle a lot.

The easiest-to-handle tour because it gives most of the site’s impressions in just two hours. If you are in Naples area and you still have some time left before you leave, a visit in Pompeii can be your best choice. During this tour you will be guided through the maze of streets and buildings which were destroyed overnight by the huge 79 AD eruption and covered by a thick layer of ashes and pumices until their excavations in modern times. The guide will show you the best highlights like the Forum – the main square of the city – the main houses and buildings. You’ll also stop and see the plaster casts – the dead bodies of the Pompeiians emerged by the excavations.

It was obvious that he loved his job and it showed through the history he walked us through during the entire tour. I would highly recommend any tour with Davide and if the Vatican is on your bucket list, then early morning access is the tour you want. Happy travels!

This is my second review on this issue, as I've sent "Walks" another email in regards to their "refund policy".This really deserves to be in quotations, as many can attest they don't really have a "refund policy", only the faint promise of one, that will eventually end in a gift voucher. My query is will they continue to honor this voucher past the initial offer? Currently, and into the foreseeable future, the possibilities to book and travel for a vacation in Italy is questionable at best, with the ongoing COVID restrictions. Walks offered vouchers to 150% for the booked tours cost, or something to that tune. Though I'll bet my $400+ CAD tour that all the tours will have increased by at least 150% to cover costs associated with loss of business, and requisite costs for COVID related restrictions and cleaning measures, for your "safety". I'm still requesting that WALKS do the right thing and refund, in full, everyone's booked tours monies, as promised, and as per they're own refund policy...I'm not holding my breath. It will likely require a class action lawsuit against these turkeys. Of all our bookings to Italy, everyone of them EXCEPT Walks, honored and refunded all monies.

Visit the charming island of Capri off the coast of Italy on a day trip from Naples or Sorrento. Travel across the sea by jetfoil and visit the Blue Grotto, as long as the weather permits. On board of a comfortable minibus, your experienced guide will take scenic travel routes, including the exhilarating Mamma Mia Road to the second largest center of the island, Anacapri and you’ll enjoy a motley, stunning and breathtaking panorama. From there you will visit Anacapri, a picturesque village, with its narrow streets and typical small squares, which was the favorite place of well-known celebrities like the Swedish doctor Axel Munthe, who fell in love with the ruins of an ancient chapel and built Villa San Michele. Next, it’s the main town of Capri and La Piazzetta, which has always been the center of the life on the island, highly populous area, especially by V.I.P.s and full of hotels, open air cafes where you can sit and relax heated by the sun. Return to Marina Grande by Funicular.

Inclusions: Port pickup and drop-off, Local guide, Round-trip shared transfer, Transport by minibus, Blue Grotto admission tickets, Shared boat ride tour around the island ( if Blue grotto is closed)
