Nice newly built hotel
Reviewed By Paulo_BarrosOuro Lavras is a very nice newly built hotel, close to the local federal university (UFLA). It's far from downtown if you don't have a car, but it's perfect if you have to go to UFLA everyday by foot. There's a bakery, a drugstore and a supermarket nearby. No good restaurants though! But you can always order by telephone. The staff is very friendly. There are free wireless internet access points with a good speed. The breakfast is OK. There's a convenience store and a ATM just in front of the hotel. I'll definitely come back for my next course at UFLA.

Stay if you want to get robbed!
Reviewed By Guest_businessI stayed in this hotel 2 times and both times I had a terrible experience. Last time in December 2017, I was in front of the hotel, just 3 meters from the front door and I got robbed by 2 men in a motorcycle. They took all my belongings, mobile phone, computer, bag, luggage. I was extremely afraid when I see the man with the gun pointing at my chest. I was terrified and asked for help to the receptionist. They didn't show so much worry and just told me that all the cameras in the front door could not record any images. I realised that it is very common this kind of robbery in this region. Another car on the same day, parked right in front of the reception, had the windows broken, computer stolen and all the items inside the car. It is just ridiculous how the hotel is just ignoring the security of its guests, even putting the lives of clients in risks. I'll never again stay in this terrible place. I just hope no one will be killed in front of the hotel in order to them increase the security of its guests.

We have 10 large and comfortable apartments, 7 of them simple (one bedroom, living room, bathroom and kitchen) and 3 double rooms (two bedrooms, living room, bathroom and kitchen). All the apartments have excellent structure to make your stay cozy and satisfactory. We also count on agile service and infrastructure to make your stay an excellent experience. Hosting by daily and monthly; Reception between 6 am and 10 pm; Wi-fi; Breakfast; Room service; External area; Garage.

Reviewed By Frederico AI'm Brazilian but this hotel must be known by everybody that arrive in Tiradentes. I stayed 3 days in Tiradentes and the experience at this Hotel was amazing. The rooms are very comfy, the shower is awesome and the hotel shared areas are beautiful and clean. The most important thing of my experience was the people behind the scenes, everybody is communicative and helpful and if you need anything they will try to help you and make your stay experience incredibly. Thanks for Renato, Karla, Douglas, Argemiro, Patrícia, Marta and Claudinéia. I talked with all staffs and loved. I hope to get back to Pousada Toque Mineiro.

Not well located, no internet
Reviewed By Possum_TravellerThe bus from Sao Joao del Rei had a stop at the end of the street, which looked good on paper - only the property is ~700 metres up a steep hill. We settled on this pousada as it was near the stop for the Paraibuna bus from Sao Joao de Rei going to Rio, which we later caught sucessfully, saving having to go back to Sao Joao del Rei. Not a good reason for our choice. It is well over a km to the town, and not many food options nearby. The staff were pleasant and the room clean. However as a traveller, the provision of wifi is a must. Apart from a few sporadic seconds, we had no coverage, even though we were told it would be fixed. Breakfast is from 8am which is late in my view. We were told that there would be a breakfast provided from 7am for the morning we left, but the choice was miserable. For nationals with their own transport and data roaming, it may appeal.
