Reviewed By oleglivAmazing holiday for a big family. Fun for all, old and little. Enormous sandy beach, wonderful taverna, spotless apartment with regular cleaning and friendly staff. Will come again, completly worth the price. Car is highly recommended.

Reviewed By 571j_r_melI stayed several times there and if I keep coming back it is for good reasons: apartments are big, quiet new, clean, well thought, the sea view is amazing, nothing better than sleeping with the sound of the waves, it is close from every facilities (restaurant/supermarket, beaches...), there are many gorges (canyons) in the area. The owner is not often in the place but he is very available by phone, mail and the most smart and honest hotel's owner I saw on this beautiful island. The wi-fi is just the best I had in Crete, period! Prices are more than reasonable. If you plan to go in the area it is definitely THE place to stay. As I always say in my comment, I stayed in hundred of hotels in Crete and I warmely recommend this hotel.

Stunning location, lovely apartments

After having stayed in some of Crete's towns, the relaxing surroundings, beautiful beach, and calm atmosphere were exactly what we wanted. The apartment (two bedroom) was clean and had all the amenities needed for a self-catering place, however there are three great tavernas in short walking distance. The view was sensational, and we spent most evenings watching the sunset from our terrace. The beach was directly in front of the apartment, and was spotlessly clean, and fairly empty. There is a hill and some steps down to the beach, but nothing too taxing. Special shoutout to the gorgeous Eleni on reception, who was so lovely and helpful, and even very kindly gifted us a lovely bottle of local wine when she realised we had got engaged during our trip! None of the bigger, higher-star hotels we visited provided such great customer service, which is invaluable.

Reviewed By davo26I wrote a review a couple of years ago, and we couldnt wait to return here. we love frangokastello and we love monachus monachus too. obviously having been here before, we knew what to expect and that was a warm welcome from nikos and eleni, the lovely couple that run the place. we now regard them as good friends. nothing is too much trouble, nikos keeps the very large pool clean constantly, eleni often brought out home-made biscuits for us to go with our drinks. and i have to mention too, elenis drinks measures are very generous indeed, even by crete standards :-) the rooms are very well kitted out, nikos and eleni have thought of everything. we actually stayed twice here during these 2 weeks. we were due to go back to the north but as the weather was far better down south we asked if there was still any availability to return. on both occasions our rooms were spotless and a pleasure to use. as its frangokastello, most people come for the peace and quietness of the place, we love it here, and it was a joy to spend some evenings on the spacious balcony playing tavli instead of going out to the tavernas each night. nikos and eleni had a few games in the reception and kindly lent us the tavli game. there is also a small oven in the apartments, so you can be totally self-sufficient if you choose to, and we also prepared picnics for the beach. i cannot recommend these apartments enough, and we will definitely come here every time we return to frangokastello.

Vrachos Apartments is located in a well known village, in the beautiful nature of the South Crete named Frangokastello, near the village of Sfakia, 75km from Chania. The beach is only a few minutes walk from the apartments. The beach in the area is very quiet and one of the cleanest in Chania.

The location is quiet and right next to the beach, accessed down a short path. Good family run taverna on the beach. The views from the rooms are amazing; both sea and mountain. Thank you very much a relaxing stay. Highly recommended.

Don’t go! Conservative and violent people!
Reviewed By Maria1985RI can not recommend this place if you don’t want to live in a sexist and unfriendly place. They infringe your rights in many ways. First the staff breaks into your room if they think you to anything suspicious. The ex-owner who still lives in the place is really rude, he is violent and shouts at the customers. In the end they will tell you it was your fault and you have to deal with it. They are the opposite of open minded. Don’t go there if you don’t want to support rude and violent provincials.

The complex "Dolphin" is located in a garden 5000t.m. and consists of 7 independent ground floor apartments 58t.m. each, with 2 double bedrooms, A / C, kitchen with small appliances and coffee maker that will serve you in all you need, dining room, bathroom, spacious covered terrace overlooking the fragrant and rich in variety and colors garden containing playground for the little ones under your supervision since it is exactly you doubly, overlooking the sea, and free public wifi connection internet.For the tenants needs work next to the complex Mini Market, cafes and traditional and delicious tavernas give others that will satisfy the most demanding palate. We are waiting for you!!!
Very welcoming and friendly
Reviewed By Ann_HMMBI stayed there for a week. The location is excellent as it is only a short walk to the beach and to the Tavernas. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The apartments are very well maintained and offer anything one needs on holidays. I will happily return there. IT is quiet and relaxing.
