Not a great apartment

Reviewed By 247LiveLife

The apartment was very spacious, BUT, the bedroom literally only had 2 beds and a wardrobe, no tales or chairs. We had booked 2 single beds, but only had 2 bed, which we had to request be separated! The pillows are very flat, and hardly served their purpose The lounge was not comfortable as we used the settee as a bed, but no other chairs to sit on.

Lovely accommodation with stunning views

Reviewed By AshleyLeteta24

I stayed here with my sister for 4 days on the coast and we had a great experience at the residence. The staff were super helpful assisting us on the phone prior to arriving with arranging transport from the train station in Salerno, and upon arrival we had a smooth check in. Our room was clean and functional, with adequate amenities. Only negative was that we had a corner suite, which had great views, but the wifi only worked in the room if you sat at the very edge of the table near the door (did not work in main area of suite/bedroom).

Spring Break Salerno

Reviewed By levinoscar

Very confusion initially trying to find Andrei and his residence room. We eventually found him like half an hour later and got to the room and stayed for two nights. We hiked at one of Salerno's interesting trail to get to the mountains to see two towns. It was cool. Despite the roads being terrible like 1 - 1.5 car space driving to get to his place driving up hill majority of the time, finding his place and the stay was good. It was clean and peaceful as well in a small village. I enjoyed the stay for the two nights.

Scammer..I would avoid at all costs!

I booked the red apartment on booking.com for my friend and I. The host messaged and asked me to pay with cash when we get there (that was ok with me , no problem). The host then cancelled my booking a short time before we were to check in leaving us with no accommodation. This is a ‘trick’ they use by saying that your credit card is invalid so they can cancel free and put the blame on you. I’m not sure why they were even trying to use the card as they requested cash, however, the card I used was indeed valid it’s my card I always use and has sufficient funds. This is a tactic that they use to cancel bookings and ruin people’s holidays. I messaged them on booking.com, WhatsApp and email and got no reply from the host anywhere even blocked on WhatsApp…scammer avoid at all costs!

location, location, location

Reviewed By T3881JWninal

If you are coming to Positano via the ferry, this is a great location. If you are coming by land, you will need to walk quite a distance from the nearest drop off. There is no parking for your vehicle. Luckily, we decided to take a train from Rome to Salerno and then the ferry. It ended up being more economical than renting a car, and much less stressful. The hotel check-in was a little odd. A woman was waiting to meet us at the front of the hotel. When we arrived, she checked our names on her list and then we walked down to her office in the basement. After we paid, she handed us a key and that was it. So, a little odd, but relatively seamless. The apartment is older, but it was clean. Beds are hard, but that seems pretty standard or Italy. We stayed in the 1 bedroom sea view, which had a huge balcony. It had four beds in one place which was what we wanted for our family, and was very hard to find anything else like it in Positano. The shower is small and has very little water pressure. The temperature also seemed inconsistent, but it did the job. It has a mini kitchen in a closet that we did not use, other than to store some drinks and snacks in the fridge, but it was nice to have. No coffee maker, that would have been nice, so we had to go out for coffee. Up the strip there is a nice little cafe, called Positano Paradise which makes a really good cappuccino and has nice pastries. I was super impressed that one of the guys that worked there remembered my order the second day I went there. The hotel is right on the beach and has it's own beach chairs. It's right on the strip, which seems like the place to be in Positano, which was great. We didn't use/pay extra for the wifi because I bought the airalo app before we left, which worked awesome the whole time we were in Italy. I'd recommend it to other travellers too ($16USD for 10GB for up to 30 days). If I were ever so lucky to return to Positano I'd stay here again with my family. The extra room was nicer than staying in most shoe closet rooms where you just have a bed. If it was just me and husband, I might look at other places to see what else is around for a cheaper price. You do pay more for the extra space. A comfier bed and better shower pressure would turn this into a five star for me.

Residence Torre Paradiso

Not suitable for a long stay

Reviewed By Sophie W

There was party of 4 of us so we had an apartment with a kitchenette and a hotel-style room. Both rooms were spacious enough and we were lucky to get a sea view. Free safety deposit boxes in both rooms and free air conditioning was great. The location of Torre Paradiso is great as it's just few minutes walk into town and around a ten minute walk to the beach. However, neither rooms had a balcony, therefore we had nowhere to dry out beach towels or washing so had buy some string from a hardware store and make a washing line. By day 3/4 we realised that we hadn't had any fresh towels so we went to the sister hotel (Villa Romana) to ask about maid service. We were told that there was no maid service at Torre Paradiso and that any laundry service would be at an extra charge. This is outrageous and disgusting considering we were staying for 11 days, were already paying 20 euros a day to use the hotel's car park and that nowhere on their website did it state that there was no maid service. On expressing our disappointment we were given fresh towels. A few days later we noticed that the rooms were starting to get dirty. We did have a pan but no brush! So we voiced our concern to the Villa Romana reception and asked if we could have our rooms cleaned and some clean bedding. We were initially told that this would not be possible as we were staying at the apartments and not in the hotel. The reception staff managed to contact the manager who was then able to sort out our rooms to be cleaned. So over the 11 days that we were there we had our towels changed twice and bedding changed once with the rooms cleaned once also. Had we have only stayed for a couple of nights no cleaning service would have been fine but for nearly 2 weeks this is disgusting and unacceptable. The hotel need to clearly state that there is no maid service at Torre Paradiso so that others aren't disappointed.

Welcoming Wonderland

Reviewed By Brittany B

Capricornio Club was an awesome, welcoming place to stay! Right when you walk through the doors, you come across a wonderland of lemon trees and little houses with patios. When I signed up for a hostile, I was not expecting much but this place exceeded my exceptions. Fabio, the owner, welcomed us by name when we got there and showed us to our room where everything was. He gave us coins for our breakfast (which involved delicious cappuccinos and croissants). He also showed us a community grill where we could cook dinner and a patio outside where we could sit and eat. The little house had everything we needed from a bathroom and shower to a kitchen and beds which was very satisfying for the little time we spent in them. The people around us were very nice and we had a great time!

Piacevole
