Horse sledding on Tuesdays during the winter season in pleasant surroundings in Lykkja. The trip lasts ca 50 minutes. Booking at Hemsedal Tourist Office or directly to Hemsedal Hestesenter at least one day in advance before 15.00

We welcome to an active day filled with excitement in spectacular surroundings for all ages. We offer summer- and winter activities in any price category. This include snow scooter rides, snow rafting, shooting,cooking and horse riding. In the summer we offer horse riding in the mountains (for one day, for an entire weekend or an entire week) bellow the beautiful Hallingskaret. You can reach us for a nice conversation and a customized program just for you.

Join us on a 3 to 4 hour riding tour in the Norwegian mountain nature. We depart from Geilo Hestesenter in Vestlia and ride up to Kikut Toppen overlooking Geilo and Ustedalsfjorden as well as the majestic Hallingskarvet. We continue in over to Skurdalsasen before returning on a different route back to Geilo Hestesenter. On this riding tour, we encounter a wide variety of terrain in the forests and on the riding tracks. This ride provides many great opportunities to take in the fabulous views over Geilo and the surrounding valley whilst enjoying the clean mountain air which this area is famous for. Don’t forget to bring your camera! We always provide rudimentary instruction before commencing the tour. Minimum age requirement is 12 years of age (10 years if accompanied by an adult) We are open for riding 7 days per week – Children’s riding, 1 hour, 2 hour and 3 to 4 hour trips. If you wish to ride at a time outside of our scheduled tours, don’t hesitate to take direct contact with us and we will be happy to arrange something to suit your particular needs!

The tours are through high mountain terrain in the Skarslia, Bergsjo, Rodungen, Varaldset and Tvist areas. Guides with good local knowledge will ensure you have a splendid experience from the back of an Icelandic horse. Riding camps are also arranged. The equestrian centre are open from approx 1st July to 15th August. We will give you the exact dates closer to the summer.

On race days, we offer to companies and groups of different sizes a special program. On the basis of our guest room, located under the roof of the grandstand and with very good view of the path, you get a very special experience of the races. For groups of 15 persons and more we offer a special day with pny races. We welcome you to trot days of sport and excitement.

The riding centre is being developed in the Natten area between Nesbyen Alpine Centre and Nesbyen GolfAlpin, opening in 2009 (autumn at the earliest). The riding centre will have a building of international dimensions in which organized riding events will be held. The centre offers rental stables, riding in the mountains, riding lasses in the arena and in the terrain. Courses in academic riding / baroque riding, natural horse handling and training. The centre also offers training in dressage, jump, driving, trot training, western genre and trail. Some of the courses are: Hoof treatment. Horse massage. Dental care. Equipment adaption. Behaviour. Andorsrud Riding Center is idyllic placed between Drammen and Skoger.

We have several offers for riding and can customize most of the rider's needs and experience. The horse and ponies are nice and quiet, and are comfort on the arena and out on the trips. We focus on safety and promise a safe and enjoyable experience.

A ride in a horse-drawn sleigh under a starry sky is guaranteed to put you in a romantic mood, particularly it’s when followed by a sumptuous meal and a relaxing night in front of a real fire. The equestrian centre Gjeldokk Hestesenter will provide the horses and sleigh. Book directly or at your hotel reception. Minimum 8 people. If it suits best to start at your hotel or cabin, Gjeldokk Hestesenter will come to you.
