An Ideal place for families with children to enjoy safely the spacious green areas, playground and swimming pool. A fenced green area dedicated for your 4-legged friends is at disposal. Inside the village you will find a cozy wine bar/pub, an excellent pizza restaurant and a mini market. Free Wifi is available throughout the area.

Best choice in town!

We changed our plans because of previous unhappy experience at a nearby campsite, and relocated to Green Village … another ACSI site with very helpful staff. We chose our own pitch on this well-organised campsite, and the kettle was on in no time for our first cuppa! Again, there seemed to be a mix of 3A & 6A outlets, and we tried three before we were not tripping the electrical supply. The large toilet block has a good mix of WCs & squatting pans, together with ample showers, wash-up facilities, and other cubicles. There are also a good laundry for those wanting to catch up. On the site, there is also a bar/shop, a restaurant & a pizzeria. There are four private buses each day, taking guests into Assisi and dropping them off at a carpark near to the Basilica. It’s by far the easiest way to access the town - especially for old legs!

A nice place to stay (especially families)

Reviewed By gersonv180

This camp site is well organised. Personally (being Dutch) I found it too crowded with fellow Dutch people. It is mostly Dutch and Italians here. Very popular among families. The water of the lake is okay-ish. There is also a swimming pool, which looks brand new. The bar is pretty good and you can get most of the basics here. No need to leave the camp site if you really do not want. The bikes that are for rent are not the best, but they are not that expensive either (10 euro a day). Thepits for the tents are good with lots of shade. However, one has to look for a electricity plug sometimes.

Just a stone’s throw away from Tuscany, it is set among the green hills of Umbria, a region steeped in history and culture, called the green heart of Italy for the natural beauty of the land. The most magical place in Umbria ❤️

Reviewed By 699elizabethg

20 years ago my partner and I came across Punta Navaccia by chance when we worked in Umbria; we have been coming here for the past 20 years and believe me - there is no place like this! Once you come here you will fall under its magic spell and it will never let you go ❤️ The kindness of the sisters, Barbara, Simona and Monica is unbelievable- they will do anything and everything to help you enjoy a wonderful holiday in the most beautiful location of Lago Trasimeno. The campsite has everything; from modern and comfortable mobile homes to glamping tents and pods. swimming pools, activities for children, sports for teenagers….. There is a wonderful bar on- site where you will be welcomed for cappuccino, fresh pastries, wine and beer. The lunches are incredible! Fresh bread with delicious Umbrian meats and cheese ? We have just bought our third little hut at Punta Navaccia so we can come for our holidays; we don’t want to travel the world - we just want to come here! People are everything and you will leave here with new friends and you will return, again and again!

Lake Trasimeno camping

Reviewed By holidaysjm

This campsite has various types of accommodation, including lodges of different sizes and styles and spaces for tents and motor homes. Many of the lodges have lovely views as do the pitches, because they are set on a hillside. Steep walkways make this place difficult for the elderly or less mobile. We stayed in three different types of lodge with family and friends. The quality of the lodges varied considerably. The facilities in the one bedroom older style lodge were outdated, and the lodge smelt damp. The more modern lodges were nicer, but the tv was limited in one of them and the other was lucky enough to have a sat box and more channels. Phone reception and internet worked intermittently. All lodges were somewhat cramped, even the one with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which would have been fine for a family with young children, but a bit of a squash for four adults. The shop on the site held limited stocks and the nearest supermarket was a drive away. The restaurant on the site only opened on our last day and it was hit and miss as to whether the bar would be open at the pool. The pool was clean and pleasant with nice views of the lake beyond. The poolside sun beds were very uncomfortable and although there were sunshades these could not easily be moved, so were not much use after 12 noon. The site was generally quiet apart from the Sunday night when a bar on the shore of the lake had very loud music until 1.30am which could be heard clearly from the site. The only restaurant within walking distance of the campsite that was open, just for dinner, was below the campsite, overlooking the lake. This was a lovely spot to watch the sun setting. The food was ok, but nothing amazing. When the campsites own restaurant finally opened the pizzas were good, but the desserts had obviously come out of the freezer, as they were still frozen inside. The limited staff who seemed to have to work in all areas of the site obviously worked very hard, to do their best for guests, but it was difficult for so few to run everything. If the reception was open, then the shop was closed as there were not enough staff to look after all areas. This was mid June, so apparently not yet the high season !!! There were other restaurants and bars in neighbouring villages, but we didn’t find any really traditional eateries in the area. The people working in the campsite were very friendly and went out of their way to help. The site was kept clean and tidy although at the top of the site there were a number of derelict mobile homes. I believe this site has a lot of potential, but the restaurant, bars, reception etc all need to be open regularly and should serve food, snacks and drinks throughout the day. The shop should be well stocked. All accommodation units should be modernised to a high standard, to reflect the prices charged. The lake was very beautiful, but the public areas near the lake front were spoilt by people allowing their dogs to foul the grass and footpaths. A car was essential as there was not much close by and public transport limited.

Camping Villaggio Italgest - Lago Trasimeno

At the shores of Lake Trasimeno, on the border between Umbria and Tuscany, the campsite-village is located within the Trasimeno Nature Park, in front of the Polvese island, the biggest island of the lake,. The geographic location makes the campsite an excellent base for trips to art cities such as Rome, Florence, Siena, Perugia, Assisi and Orvieto, and also to the nature and enogastronomic destinations in Umbria and Tuscany. The reception propones daily itinerari and tours (free or with charge) in bike, by foot (trekking), by car or by bus GT (only for groups or in high season). During the low and medium season we offer relaxing holidays in direct contact with the beautiful Umbrian and Tuscan colorful nature, while in the high season, comfort and fun make us the ideal place for family holidays (Italian style entertainment, also in English, with mini-club service).

Relaxing, beautiful, laid-back, peaceful

Reviewed By Clare M

Stayed here for 3 days in our campervan. We all wanted longer. Right on the lake front, laid-back and friendly management. Just off-season so had the place nearly to ourselves. Nice restaurant (we just got drinks there, didn’t eat), free table-football table. Lovely, clean, deep, large pool with oodles of loungers and umbrellas. Exceptionally clean bathrooms. They let us use their washing machine for a couple of euros which was very handy. Lots of trees to sling a hammock. Small town with restaurants and gelataria (open in afternoon - seemed popular and small supermarket just a stroll away. Great break. Too short. Would go back. Cost us 27 Euros a night including electricity. Every other place we looked at for that time was between 4 and 70 - so exceptionally good value
