Some great sites, but the view of the Petronas towers is in a random road a fair way away from the towers themselves (our hotel was closer with a better view). Two of the stops were definite 'fake tourism' situations, whereby the tour company clearly has a deal with the places (only visitors here are those on tours). The guide fell asleep a couple of times throughout the experience, and it was felt that at the end, they wished to go home and either rush us on or drop us elsewhere so we could make our own way back... One of the stops you visit we were told we would have 40 minutes, but as it's 25 past, I'll round it and give you until quarter to... (i.e. giving 20 minutes). This wasn't enough time to go in to the museum... which also isn't included in the price?! Overall I'd say this was a slightly expensive taxi service, with some nice details given within the ride.

We booked a private tour to Malacca from Kuala Lampur via Viatour They farmed this out to Riyas tours. We wanted to do the trip and then be dropped at the airport at 4 PM for our 6 PM flight. I spoke to a Viatour agent to do the booking to clarify the departure time as well as the drop off time. I had asked for the driver to contact me directly to sort out the details. No one contacted me so I again contacted Viatour who arranged a three way call with one of Riyas tours managers. He said that we would have to leave at 7 AM in order to do all the the things on the tour plus he told me that there would be a $40 US surcharge Ultimately we settled on a $25 surcharge even though the airport drop off was shorter that going back into the city. Our driver Steven picked us up at 7 AM He did drive us to Malacca but did not give a tour or offer any advice I tried contacting Viatour to complain but no one has seen fit to contact me This was a non tour. Basically a non caring person ( and company) doing a terrible job. I would be reluctant to use anyone with a Riyas connection
