Great afternoon of walking through olive and fog groves + vineyards with Rachael. I was the only person on the tour that day to travel slowdowns and so I received a personal tour from Rachael. Great tasting at two wineries and as you can see, I bought a bottle at each. (Although there was no pressure at all to do so.). Highly recommended.

I've had the pleasure of doing 2 tours with these guys: the Dubrovnik city tour and the day trip to Montenegro. I have done my share of tours over the years, and I can honestly say these have been the most informative, well thought, entertaining and fun of them all. It is rare to find people born and raised in the old town of Dubrovnik and it is even more difficult to find people with the knowledge, passion and professionalism that Ivo and Stjepan bring to the table. I could have spent a week listening to the history of both Dubrovnik, Montenegro, Yugoslavia, etc and to all the anecdotes, facts and personal experiences. Truly outstanding. Thanks again for two fabulous days!

Four of us took a day trip to Montenegro from Dubrovnik. Igor was our guide and was fantastic. We started off early in the morning stopping for coffee with a view, a visit to Perast, a drive up the mountain behind Kotor with a stop for drinks with a view to die for, then on to the village of Njegusi where we visited a local smokehouse and had a wonderful traditional lunch. We visited the old city of Kotor in the afternoon and then headed back to Dubrovnik. It was a full day spent in the good company of Igor, who was knowledgable, friendly and most of all, fun. The tour was reasonably priced and there was good communication with the company before the tour. They were even able to accommodate a last minute switch in tour days due to predicted bad weather. I would highly recommend using this company for a day trip to Montenegro.

We booked a private Plitvice National Park tour from Split from Pelican Tour. The booking process was easy, you pick the tour, the date, and you pay right there on the website with credit card. There can be a maximum of 8 people in your group for private tour in one car, and the price is very reasonable and even comparable to if you joined group tours, depending on how many people you have. The driver, Bojan, contacted us the day before to confirm pickup location and time. On the day of the tour he showed up on time and he was friendly and professional. It took less than 4 hours to arrive Plitvice and the car ride was clean and comfortable. Make sure you break for restroom before getting out of the freeway, when there are still resting areas. It was difficult finding one near the park, and there’s long lines for restrooms at the park. We met our guide at park entrance, where we also purchased tickets. To our pleasant surprise we could pay by credit card for the tickets; the website said cash only. Our tour guide Nikolai (sorry if I misspelled) accompanied us for the tour and he was very friendly and knowledgeable, also great at taking pictures. He discussed with us on the route we will be taking and if we are interested to do certain trails. It worked out well and of course the park was magnificent especially with fall colors. The park is a must see if you are in Croatia. We also had a little time for lunch right inside the park before continuing on. The walk is not difficult and at our own pace. It was relaxing and we didn’t feel rushed. Make sure to let your guide know if there are certain place you want to see early on so he can plan it. There was this signature view you see on many postcards we wanted to see but it wasn’t on the route we were on, and it was too late when we realized it. The route he took us on was still amazing and he felt it was a better way to see the park. After four hours we were taken back to our driver; there were quite a bit of stairs going up in this last walk to exit. We arrived our hotel round 6pm. The park was so beautiful and ideally we would want to spend more time, but we feel four hours walk is just the right amount of time for people like us who are not especially sporty. Overall a great company and great tour if you have to visit Plitvice from Split.

We had a full day in Split on our cruise but our cruise line did not offer a tour of Trogir and Split. We found Croatian Trails and booked a tour and had Tina as our tour guide. Tina met us promptly at the cruise port. We drove to Trogir and she gave us an in depth tour plus time to explore on our own. We then went to Split where we also had a wonderful tour of all the sights. It was so nice having a private guide as opposed to going on a ship's tour with 25 people. It was fantastic. We highly recommend Croatian Trails and if you can get Tina as your tour guide you will not be disappointed!

When you come to Croatia, a MUST see is the Pearl of the Adriatic coast which is full of history and culture. It has a history of over one thousand years and is visible in every part of this city. The city is a living museum, a live stage and has an ideal connection between its historical past and modern day. It is surrounded by medieval walls that are 1940 metres long and preserved in their original form. They are open to visitors and are the city’s greatest attraction. Since 1979, the town has been under UNESCO protection. Dubrovnik is mainly a cultural destination, which besides monuments of interest, offers a series of cultural events and festivals. It is a destination where you can enjoy a rest and has extremely good air connections with all the larger European centres. Dubrovnik is a city that charms, a city that you fall in love with and always returns to and discover more unique experiences.
