I booked myself and daughter via Facebook messenger and got a quick reply to when the time best to come for a ride was. My daughter rode "Blanca" And I rode "boy" we went up the beach toward hideaway on the way back we were offered a bare back ride in the water, this ride was like no other they took us out so far so the horses were swimming, so much fun. We actually had a second ride the day before we left Fiji as our experience the first time was awesome! We requested the same horses we had before and it was no trouble for "tom" the owner to bring them, this time we stood horse knee depths watching baby sharks for a while then proceeded to continue on the sand trail. I thought as we had extra time watching the baby sharks in the water that would have been long enough, tom took my daughter (bare back) out for an ocean swim, they were out there with bianca for over and hour.. the horses are treated very well and the gear is great!! Do your self a favour and book a tour the horses and the owner are so much fun! Vinaka Tom, alice wants horse riding lesson now! ????????????????????

Such an experience to spend a day on such a remote island in the South Pacific. The islanders were so welcoming, especially the teachers at their primary school.Good swimming and snorkelling opportunities. Speed boat tours from 10Fijian Dollars upwards. Crystal clear waters. Pity about the islander who imprisoned a sea turtle in a bath and who was charging 5 dollars for tourists to photograph this beautiful and endangered species.

We travel to Fiji at least annually and Suva once or twice on each visit. Fiji does not have all the modern facilities of home but the awesome people make up for this. One of the major attractions is that everything isn’t squeaky clean but is great anyway. The Suva Markets are huge and whilst setup for the locals have plenty to offer for tourists also. People just need to remember that they are markets and not a modern shopping centre.

We caught the local bus from the market in Suva and got off outside. We paid the minimal fee to get in and walked in. One of the local workers guided us and we had a fantastic walk through the rainforest. It is very wet and you really need to wear safety shoes or something solid as it gets muddy etc. That was part of what I liked about it, the rawness of it. Lots of places to swim along the way and at the end a big pool where a lot of locals and tourists were swimming and jumping of a swinging rope. Definitely worth the excursion
