How Stean Gorge is a natural wonder. A small tight gorge cutting its way through the limestone with caves, narrow paths and foot bridges. It also has a cafe, camp site and an outdoor activity center that caters for the public from 7 years to 70 + We provide many Outdoor Activities from our onsite Outdoor Activity Centre including Gorge Walking, Ghyll Scrambling, Abseiling, Caving, Canoeing, Canyoning and Yorkshires only Via Ferrata & Climbing Course. Accomodation - Camping available for upto 26 Pitch's, we also hire out pre erected tents. We have a selection of fire pits available on a 1st come basis and a large facilities block. There are also 2 x Bunkhouses to choose from one of which is located at Scar House Reservoir just a short drive from our site in Lofthouse, Pateley Bridge, Harrogate, HG3 5SF. Opened in 2011, Dexter’s has always been the go-to surf shop for beginners and families. All surf lessons are provided by friendly and professional SLSGB Surf Rescue (Lifeguard) ISA surf instructors who are all first-aid trained and have an outstanding safety record. There is also RNLI Lifeguards patrolling the bay May-September. Dexter’s provides private and group surf lessons catering for all ages, sizes and abilities, all year round. Being the biggest surf shop in the area and owning huge stock of hire kit, the school can handle large groups easily, and offer fun-packed adventure days such as Stag and Hen parties, Corporate Events and University Surf Clubs! As well as surf lessons, Dexter’s also has a great selection of hire kit, you can rent surfboards, wetsuits, paddleboards and kayaks!

We are a Surf School in the beautiful town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea on the edge of the North York Moors. We specialise in beginner and intermediate surf lessons as well as video surf coaching for intermediate to advanced surfers. Skylark is a spacious 35ft Vessel, Powered by a 6 cylinder Diesel engine. Which cruises comfortably at 8 Knots. Made from wood, she is of sturdy design able to cope with all weather conditions. Skylark Has a code of Practice for 12 anglers and 2 crew and can travel 20 miles from Scarborough. Skylark is equipped with a Many chart Plotters one on a 19 inch screen, GPS, Sonar, (Giving pin-point accuracy when locating wrecks or prominent fish holding features) DSC radio with AIS, Radar, and full safety equipment. Skylark is also fitted with plenty of seating. The ground we Fish Renowned worldwide for it's quality sea fishing heritage, Scarborough on the beautiful Yorkshire coast is the ideal port to charter a boat for an angling trip. Lucky for Scarborough there is many places to fish, most of these places we fish are Natural scars of rock, kelp beads, And generally really rough ground ideal for Cod and Pollock Fishing. There are many marks we fish some are only a few minutes away from the harbour and others can span upto filey brigg or ravenscar again two very good cod grounds. Also close to Scarborough are many old ship wrecks .These wrecks can produce good Cod, Ling, Pollock, and Many other fish. Unfortunately both these grounds are very tackle hungry so be prepared to lose a couple of leads and rigs. We also fish sand banks and dumping grounds for the whiting and flat fish if customers are happy with doing this. Free Hire of fishing Tackle On skylark we have Free hire of our rods and reel, all our rods are 6-7ft and fitted with the Modern multiplier reels (not the traditional Scarborough reels and fixed spools but we do have a few on board for those people who prefer to use them). We also provide Basic fishing this includes weights and rigs.

At Whitby Surf School we cater specifically for surf lessons from beginner to intermediate levels and SUP Lessons for flat water, exposed waters and wave surfing. We also offer full hire facilities and demo kit available allowing you to try before you buy. Our ethos is to provide the best possible tailor made coaching either for groups or individuals; in the safest possible environment, maximising your progress and enjoyment. We want you to share the same passion that we have for surfing and SUP and therefore employ DBS checked highly trained staff; RLSS Beach Life Guards, Surfing GB and WSA trained and use the best equipment in the business. Keeping you warm and comfortable we have 5mm winter wetsuits, boots, hoods and gloves from XCEL and Tiki and have a wide selection of the beginner soft boards to make sure you’re learning on a board of the appropriate size and volume. All our instructors have experience in working with children as well as a profound knowledge of West Cliff Beach. We also try to keep our staff to student ratios lower than the industry standard.

Welcome to Settle Area Swimming Pool. A charity registered 20m x 7m indoor warm community run swimming pool. A safe, clean swimming pool with a water depth of 0.9m graduating to a maximum depth of 2m. The pool boasts wonderful views out of our windows of the Yorkshire Dales National Park fells and one of the "Yorkshire Dales Three Peaks". We offer a wide range of activities for all ages and abilities. Our doors are open 7 days a week (except Bank Holidays and Christmas/New Year) with early morning swims at 6.30am and adult swimming until 9.30pm.
