The Heritage Club - Tripura Castle offers top of the class accommodations in Shillong. Located on a hilltop surrounded with pine forests, it boasts of the best view any hotel in the city can offer. The hotel has a sun terrace and views of the garden, and guests can enjoy a drink at the bar. There are three restaurants as well as a 2 lounges. Free private parking is available on site. Some rooms include a sitting area to relax in after a busy day and there are 3 independent wooden cottages as well. A flat-screen TV with cable channels is featured. The entire property is WiFi enabled and the service is complimentary. And there is a 24 X 7 front office assistance for any help . The highlights include the Maharaja Suite where the bed used by Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore is kept and a well-maintained World War 2 bunker on the premises.

Reviewed By rohitb397Good hotel situated in Shillong city surrounded by the hills , the hotel rooms are situated at various area over 9 acres I stayed in valley facing rooms , Rooms were like a suite , with a very big hall and another bedroom attached to it The food at the restaurant was not good especially the chicken was found to be frozen and tough The breakfast was of good quality and changes everyday

Stayed for 4 nights in Single room
Reviewed By Prome NStayed for 4 nights in a single room in end-April, 2018. Both the receptionists and stuff were friendly and well behaved. Took suggestion about local cuisine on arrival. The room was quite small, but was enough for a single traveler. Amenities: 1. TV with cable connection. 2. Water filled steel jug, one glass and a ash-tray. 3. One hanging cabinet. 4. One mini soap, one mini-pack shampoo. 5. Geyser - ask the room-service how to operate. Room rent was very reasonable compared to cleanliness and behavior. I started from Center Point down towards G.S. Road and this hotel seemed perfect for both single or group travelers and families. 1 minute walking distance to Center Point, check Google maps. Most of all, it was my first hotel on my first solo tour and end of the day I was satisfied. Points to be noted: 1. No Air Conditioning. Actually not needed one because of the weather of Shillong. 2. No WiFi. I took a sim from local market with 1 GB of data connectivity.

Good for short stay, despite dated and basic facilities
Reviewed By SNottINHad 2 rooms for 2 nights during a family holiday trip. Rooms are spacious and clean with room heaters provided. Amenities were basic, however - limited towels and bathroom accessories. Wifi only at the reception. And couldn't pay by card - was only cash. Room service food was fine, and buffet breakfast at the restaurant was tasty. Hotel is in town, so don't expect any views. Also, getting to the hotel can be a real drag during peak traffic hours (beware the jams in Shillong, in general).

Reviewed By pritika94Sha Ri Loum is located in an area not too close to the hustle and bustle of the city, which makes sure you have your privacy and quiet time. I loved waking up to the sun shining through the pine trees, especially after a great nights sleep on a comfortable bed. The fact that they use solar power to generate water was very impressive, and something I think all hotels and homestays should start doing. Service was top notch, and Bob (the caretaker) made sure we had everything we needed from hot water to drink, a needle and a thread when we needed it, and a delicious homemade dinner and breakfast. Definitely coming back here!

Reviewed By akshay_sagareWe stayed here for 2 days while on our meghalaya ride. Hotel is good and nicely maintained. Food is good. Ambience is fantastic. View from hotel is mesmerizing. Service was quick. Staff were humble and quick in response. Rent is also fare. Definitely recommend for a stay. Owner is so humble. Room arrangements are good with cleanliness.

A budget hotel with over 17 years of experience in providing great customer service, located centrally in Shillong. We offer rooms with color TV, attached bathroom and delicious Indian and Chinese food in our restaurant. Rooms range from Rs 420(INR) to 1200. We also have a comfortable taxi facility for pick-ups and dropping to and from Guwahati and also for tourist visits in and around Shillong. We are very welcoming and are always eager to help our customers in which ever way possible for us.
