Big kitchen and living room/dining room in the commun area, Nice back yard , well located , steff friendly and Daniel can speak a few languages . I was there for about 8 days in last january , it was perfect ...Oh and the breakfast are very good and generous .

Bad bad experience
Reviewed By anyatracyI don’t even know where to start. First the communication was very bad before I arrived. They wanted to charge me $50 for the shuttle to the airport, which I got for $17 somewhere else. Upon arrival after 2pm, they kept me waiting for a room! I was sent a message that check in was at 12. The front desk is almost non existent! A guy shows up there on occasion and the rest of the day, there are some random people by the gate. No help with anything! No food at the restaurant after I returned from trips. No working phone in my room. The room was not cleaned well. The walk are so thin that you can hear peoples conversation next door, as they were taking to you. I did not get a room change upon request. Mire- I booked the hotel for $478 for 4 nights, which was too high for this hotel and service, and they charged me $498 without any explanation. No papers given to show me charges! I just checked my bank account. Oh… they charged my $2 for extra slice of cheese or the breakfast. Breakfast is included in the price. I did not feel welcomed in this hotel. I would recommend this hotel to any of my friends nor would want to return to this location

My only concern is that the parking lot is several blocks away, they´ll take you on this golf kart but it will be complicated specially if you arrive late night. No worries if you dont bring a car. Would go back to stay again.

Note: it is not a 5 star hotel, so expect some evidence of wear and tear; yet, it was very lovely and the service was very good. We had typical breakfast with coffee/juice. We hope to return.

Hotel has old spanish athmosphere, rooms are comfortable with shower and all necessary equipment. Hotel provides delicios breakfest in family-style. It is close to the centre with many restaurants and shops. Small market is just across the street.

When I first arrived didn't know what to expect but I wasn't disappointed. Rooms are spacious and clean. All rooms include kitchen and living space with a fire place which adds extra comfort, especially if it's cold outside.

Reviewed By AnnaMM111I am all about the view and I have been seeking out the best spots in the area. Miravalle is a gem! The grounds, particularly the fountains, could use some love, but I barely noticed with the view of the volcanoes. The best part was the combination of the view with the food! It was affordable, service was great and the food beat expectations! Hobbitenango and Altamira are nice to go to once...but they are a rip off. Casa Miravalle is somewhere I will go regularly to eat. They really did impress me with the quality of the dining experience overall. We got the tabla para compartir and it was more than two people could eat and cost roughly the same as just the entrance fee to hobbitenango (which includes nothing). If you don't care about the Instagram tourist attractions of the other area spots, I highly recommend a relaxing morning here! Oh, and there wasn't a huge, obnoxious crowd :)

Reviewed By Mark DCame here for 2 day visit to Antigua. Location is ideal with only a 2 minutes walk into the centre. It has lovely furniture and rooms are nicely decorated with comfortable beds and it is quiet with mainly birdsong in the morning. Great view of Fuego. Nice shower. We had breakfast on the roof which has a lovely view of the city and volcanoes, but the breakfast was not good at all - more like having a ‘fast food’ breakfast with a warm spam bun, small box of mixed juice and yogurt plus banana. Overall a nice stay - suggest you book a room away from the road for a quiet nights sleep and don’t bother with breakfast.

A budget hostal near center of city
Reviewed By kraorA budget stay near the center of Antigua. The hotel is located within 1 KM from ''Inglesia de la Merced, Santa Catalina Arch , Plaza. Mayor.'' There's the chicken buses running in front of the Hostal that are well decorated yet can get you around the city .The rooms were spacious with cable T.V. that had just two English speaking channels. The rooms had toiletries (soap) with showers that had hot water. There is a courtyard in the hotel one could roam about, a well decorated dining room with tasteful art.. It's an older hotel built in the late 1800's with a hacienda atmosphere. They'll serve breakfast on request, cost $4.00 USD.. There is a small kitchen in where one can prepare meals. The hotel is located 100 meters from the market in which one could buy produce from merchants. Gilda the owner will give you a key so you can do in/out without having to ring the doorbell. Just be careful of Gilda's dog he growls at times. :>)
