Great hotel, great management not close to town
Reviewed By Global00091197724This place is great. Specially Teo the manager. We went above and beyond. With his calm demeanor, he reminds you that you are in paradise. He arrange transfers and helped in many ways. The suits are great, you can fit 4 people perfectly since they have 2 bathrooms. The decor is wonderful. The only thing is that I wish I stayed closer to town. Town is the highlight of Mykonos, in my opinion. The beach of hornos is great, the chairs are about 45 each, but is worth it, this place is one of a kind. Thank you fir everything Teo, you are the best

Great performances from Sarah and Kelly and the sunset view is to die for! Great disco themed gym as well! Definitely coming back !

The host had 24 hours to confirm the reservation and we, having to plan the trip, asked the courtesy to answer us both directly from the booking portal and via whatsapp: no reply. The result is that we have lost the possibility of booking in other lodgings as well If you are looking for reliability, look elsewhere.

Extremely pleasant
Reviewed By Sus1952This is a lovely small family run hotel. We were very happy with our room that had a balcony looking out to sea. The room was clean and well appointed. We were even provided with a kettle and extra cups. The proprietor very kindly took us to the airport when we were leaving. You do have the wonderful view because the hotel is high above the town. The hill is steep but in actual fact you can walk down the hill, across the main road and through to the pedestrian paths in the old town in 5 minutes.

Location can’t be beat!
Reviewed By Kassie CMy husband and I stayed at the Matogianni hotel for one night on a stopover in Mykonos on our way to Naxos. I booked directly on their website, which I found gives you more specific room choices than third party booking sites, plus we were able to pay on arrival rather than in advance. The hotel itself is right in the heart of Mykonos town, but as it’s off a small side street, you get none of the noise from the bars and shopping areas nearby. We opted for a balcony room, which was actually a very decent size for the price we paid, and considering the location. The beds were comfortable, though my main complaint (as others have mentioned in their reviews) is the wet-room style shower. I felt like we had to almost sweep the water into the drain, as there wasn’t a natural slope to the floor. For one night this would be fine, but I fear if I needed to wash my hair (leaving water on for an extended time) that I could have flooded the whole room. One thing to keep in mind with this hotel is that it is right in the center of Mykonos town, meaning that cars/transfer vehicles can’t get near it. So although I had booked a transfer to the hotel from the airport, our driver had to drop us off at the top of the hill on the edge of town, and we had to walk downhill with our luggage. Thankfully we only had to do the downhill journey, as the next day we caught the sea bus to the new port, which was a flat walk towards the old port - just something to keep in mind if you are staying in the center of town with luggage to carry. Overall, I would definitely stay here again, as the price and location can’t be beat!

Renovated junior suite with ocean view is perfect!
Reviewed By lovetojourneyI emailed Marietta direct about staying in her separate studio but after some discussion with her, it was apparent that her newly renovated junior suite with small private sea view balcony was for us. ‘Trust me’ she said in her emails and I’m so glad I did! Marietta’s is more than just a place to stay. You have a local friend ready to collect you from the airport and drive you back again. Someone who is genuinely and rightly proud of her establishment, who thoughtfully restored a beautiful room into something even better. We loved the brand new shower with plentiful hot water and the separate equally new toilet (beware that like most Greek islands the toilet paper must go in separate bin). The basin sits on a long bench in the bedroom itself and was perfectly functional. The large bed was also new and oh so comfortable! Air conditioning worked perfectly. What was absolutely sensational was the view of the sea - from the bed or when sitting on the compact balcony. WOW. JUST WOW. The position right by the famous windmills and Old Venice is the icing on the cake. The price for the experience was more than reasonable. There were plenty of nearby places to grab coffee and breakfast. The cleaner was delightful and so thorough. The place is impeccable. We unreservedly recommend the newly renovated junior sea view room for a wonderful stay. We loved every minute of our 4 days at Marietta’s. It was close to everywhere yet quiet at night. We slept very well. You cannot go wrong by reaching out directly to Marietta and organising your dream getaway.
