Reviewed By PC1955Always clean and comfortable. I've visited this hotel regularly over the last 6 years. It's always clean, and managed well. The riverfront rooms are my favorite. Plenty of shopping at your doorstep. There are a handful of riverfront restaurants a 15 minute walk south of the hotel. Bao pradit, is one.

Reviewed By KylebvickWe really enjoyed staying at the relaxing cottages by the river. They aren't hip or modern, but they a clean and relaxing. The host was very kind and even arranged a motorbike to be there for us, for only 200 baht a day.

Quiet hotel with nice inexpensive rooms
Reviewed By Zidane08We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of April 2018 in a Family Room,which was,in fact,two large inter connecting rooms. We had a double bed and 2 single beds plus 2x TV,bathroom,aircon,fridge,balcony etc. Both rooms were of a decent size.The beds were comfortable and the aircon and shower both worked exceptionally well. For 1100 baht per night in total,I thought this was great value.The hotel was quiet and peaceful and we hardly heard a sound from other guests. They also have Standard,Deluxe and Master King rooms where prices range from about 400-750 baht per night,depending on which you choose. On the downside,there is no breakfast but there is a small Freshmart mini market on site where you can stock up with things like water,milk,beer,yoghurts,coffee,biscuits,crisps,ice cream etc. Also,you will need your own transport as there is nothing in the near vicinity.Robinsons,Big C and The Friendship Bridge are 10 minutes drive away and the Indo China market and restaurants by the Mekhong river about 15 minutes drive. The staff at the hotel speak limited English,but are very friendly and we would certainly come to this hotel again on our next trip to Mukdahan.

Reviewed By dondelimousineVery quiet and cosy place to stay if you are BKE expecting much. Rooms are spacious. And affordable. Staffs are friendly and speak very little English. Buildings are colorful making it a really nice place for pictures too.

Peaceful by the river
Reviewed By Joe_VampireIt is a friendly hotel, clean and efficient. The price is just right. It has a character with a nice, spacious lawn. However, the management is trying to entice customers with cheap signates as photo-spots - an unoriginal move by many local hotels that lessens their charms. However, the place is still great. The room has nice balcony. Good quality bed, pillows, sheets. The bathroom is a bit old but works ok. The first floor rooms offer lower price, and look older with tired materials than those on the second and third floors. The hotel is very popular for local tourists, a bit more of older folks. The breakfast is adequate but not interesting, with cheap ingredients: cereal, sausages, fried eggs, fried rice or noodles, boil rice, bread and coffee, fruits - overall ok and similar to the local hotels around. However, with the homey, river atmostphere, I wish they have put more thought into breakfast. Also it would be nice to offer healthier options, too. Good and helpful staff.

Thai House Resort is nestled in a "Phu Thai" village. We offer a range of cultural tours that are lots of fun and very interesting. We also have a forest farm and conduct Foraging in the forest. We love people to visit our village it is so special.We also offer cooking lessons and day tours of the region in Isaan. The guesthouse is very suitable for children. Pets are allowed and welcome.
A family feeling
Reviewed By catychooWe stayed 5 nights in the “Chalet” and we loved the time we spent in Thai House Isaan. Nice bedding, lovely atmosphere, quiet, even if we were in the middle of the village. The breakfast was nicely cooked by David, and Noi took care of dinner (at a very fair price). David just told us what Noi had in mind for dinner, and that was it! So good when you’ve been traveling for a while to sit at the table and see tasty food put in front of you without bothering to choose on a menu. Special awards for the stir-fries, curry and the whole fish, Isaan style. David walked us around the village and the nearby paddy fields. We also spent a whole day with him (and Pumpkin!!) on a tour to visit temple, homestay village, falls, market etc. We learned a lot about the Isaan culture while talking with David. Special mention for Pumpkin (you have to get there to know who she is!). But please, David, put a bigger sign in front of your house for travelers!

The property features a sparkling, Fully Tiled Swimming Pool By the edge of the river for your relaxation. The Furnishings throughout the Manor are of the highest quality and the En-suite Bathrooms are all 5 star. The Cocktail Bar/Lounge is very well stocked with the finest beverages. As well there is the 2011 Award winning Waterfront-Song Fung Khong Restaurant, the only International Cusine Menu in Mukdahan serving Imported Australian Steak, Lamb and Seafood,Pork,Duck, Chicken, Norweigan Salmon, New Zealand Mussels and Schollops and of course excellent Thai food. Fully Airconditioned or Dine Alfresco by the River. It's all there for a memorable stay.
Has nice potential-but their service needs to be improved
Reviewed By Mike LWe were really looking forward to staying here since the reviews were very positive and the write-up on their website really made it sound like a great place to stay. We did eat dinner there and the food was good. We ate outside because the restaurant smelled like smoke even though there were multiple signs posted saying no smoking. Multiple dogs were roaming through the restaurant as well. After dinner, we checked into room, and then realized didn’t have wifi password. I went downstairs to the desk area, but no one was around except guests. Waited about five minutes but there was still wasn't anyone to to help. Some of the other surprise about the room were that there was a slight smoky smell in the room too. The toilet was located in the hallway, not the room. Also, the door wouldn't latch from the inside of the room. Other than that, the room was very nice and spacious. The bathroom/bathtub were amazing. The next morning we went down for breakfast at 7:30am; there wasn't anyone stirring at all. We waited for 15 minutes and still no signs of anyone. We went back to the room till after 8, went back down and there still wasn't anyone around. My wife had to walk down the hallway calling out for someone to finally respond. The breakfast was a nice surprise. It was very good. Overall the house/room was very nice. The food was very good. However, the service was lacking to say the least, especially when the cost is quite a bit higher than many of the other places in Mukdahan.

The staff was so friendly and nice, better than any I encountered in SE Asia. The pool and rooftop was great to relax at night. The rooms and bathroom weren’t incredible, but definitely not terrible and I didn’t have any problems with them at all!
