Reviewed By annyd201The B&B exceeded all my expectations .From the moment we arrived the when we recieved a warm welcome from Cristina and her mother .It was a boiling hot day we were hot and tired and that bedroom was so cool and refreshing with Cold water in the fridge .The room was spotlessley clean .We had paid extra for the triple room as the views were better .. and i am so glad that we did as the view of the old town was stunning .I have rarely slept so well , even without the air conditioning on the room remained cool .Bed very comfy , lovely crisp bedding and pillows .Idealily placed to visit the old town on foot and spend a relaxing evening in the centro storico having a meal and an ice cream .I would definetely return to the b&b it was perfect .Thankyou Cristina

Excellent two night stay
Reviewed By Mac MWe had some difficulty finding la Giancarla so be sure you have the correct directions. Parking is 60-80 yards away and free. That is about unheard of in Italy. I'd recommend you arrive in daylight. First time driving here can be harrowing. Check-in was easy. Everything about the facility is new. The kitchen area was available 24/7 for coffee, tea, and snacks. That was a big deal for us as we arrived quite late. The site is not on the beach but is a short walk to the town of Materea. Coffee shops and restaurants are nearby. Urban Chic was a surprising find with Men's, Woman's and kids shoes and clothing. Have your camera tuned up - this is a very scenic area. We will stay here again!

Wonderful B&B to Relax at in the Off Season
Reviewed By DonnaandCraigWe stayed here for two nights in October while driving through Southern Italy. It's off the beaten path, in a lovely setting with distant ocean views and very quiet. The couple that runs this B&B are very nice. Be sure to ask them about their olive trees, they are very proud of them. Finding a restaurant in the off season for dinner can be a challenge in Maratea. We had a great lunch a dinner at Ristorante Pizzeria Sapore Di Mare. It is very much a local place and the food was excellent.

B & B can provide its guests rooms with daily maid service and linen change breakfast included in the price . Large , Fresh , bright , and equipped with a private bath rooms have mini fridge Safe TV flat screens and , in some cases , even a shower or bath radio with piped music . you can park your car in the nearby public parking quiet

Reviewed By Cassie TAlso called Le Tre Rose, Maratea on Booking.com You need a car as you are not close to the train station or the town. We drove to the port that night for dinner (15 mins away). Don't know how long it would take to walk to local restaurants but none was obvious from the turn off down to this property. Our host tried to make us comfortable. The breakfast was good but basic compared to other B nB s we have now reviewed on this trip. You can eat as much as you want but selections are minimal. Has an isolated feeling about it so good if you want to get away from it all for a week but did not suit us. Beware if you have a hire car as the car park area is down a steep slope and to your left so we scraped our hire car bumper bar going up and down when we went for dinner. Made me very nervous to come back with a car but you need one due to its isolation.

Reviewed By Anita CVery interesting place to stay. The owner was a very gracious host. When we arrived he served us all sorts of homemade food and wine. What a treat after a long day of driving. He did not speak much English and we didn’t speak Italian but we still had a jolly time communicating. The room was wonderful and eclectic with stairs to a patio overlooking the water. We only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed longer.

Almost too good to review
Reviewed By livespitzI liked this place so much that I have hesitated long before writing this review in English; it would be a shame if it would be crowded by tourists from all over the world, losing its wonderful charm that makes it so attractive. But then, I also found it through Tripadvisor, so I don't want to be unfair to others, here we go... Trying to escape busy and overpriced Campania, with Naples and the Amalfi coast, I followed the excellent reviews of this little place in Basilicata, and it was all I could dream of: A genuinely Italian, small place (yes, you better speak some Italian here, at least the basics to get along), beautifully located between sea and mountains, both equally attractive. The hosts are incredibly friendly, do everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The place is surrounded by a nice garden, and when you reach the beach down the hill (yes, it's a little walk, the Rotondella is on a hill around nintey meters above the sea level) it's worth every effort. You can choose between sand, gravel or rocks, and at least late in the season, in September, I had the beach for myself much of the time. The same goes for the little village for dinner, not many places to choose from, but the food is great and people again very friendly. If you are looking for a calm place to spend some quiet, relaxing time, this is the place to go - and it's even accessible by train.
