We were looking for a private villa with pool in Langkawi and initially thought of exploring the more well-known hotel chains on the island. We chose Maneh Villa based on limited information available online. However, it turned out to be an excellent choice. Maneh Villa comprised of 9 secluded villas with private pools. It was just opened last year so it's in perfect condition with good quality furnishing and small touches like capsule coffee machine, daily juice and canned drink refill and Netflix on the TV. We were also really touched by the hospitality of the staff, who checked on us regularly via WhatsApp. We even got a complimentary airport transfer, which was very appreciated! Thumbs up! We're hoping to be back! ?

The staff are very friendly and polite as well as helpful! 5 stars for the staff. The hotel has been maintained very nicely over the years. Hope to stay again in future!

Reviewed By PoppyIzzahWent here for the food with my husband. The crew were so friendly and helpful. We came early so we can choose the spot to eat and choose to eat in the wooden hut or pondok. It was perfect. We choose set A and added terung belacan. All the dishes were good especially kangkung belacan and the ikan bakar. Bubur pulut hitam as dessert were the bomb, it was so nice with the ice cream❤️❤️ Highly recommended place for lunch, but please reserve your spot.

A great new place to stay at Cenang

I think the place is relatively new, they probably opened before the pandemic started because when I last visited Langkawi in 2019, I don't recall seeing their property. I think they replaced another hotel in that location that looked pretty obscured. This time, their signage is pretty obvious. Rooms are very nice and maintained well, the toilet and bath are clean too. The hotel lobby is kind of like an art display with a cozy vibe. Although during my stay, there was a problem with the ceramic tiles along the room corridors at the upper floor that made walking a bit difficult coz the tiles were breaking at a slight step. The hotel is near a lot of restaurants, the underwater world is basically a neighbor, and the beach is just a few minutes walk from the place. At night, it's just beside the night food market, so you can have easy access to food at night. The generators from the food market can cause a bit of a noise, but it's not unbearable and the room can block it well. They offer free buffet breakfast in the morning (they open a section beside the entrance) where you can eat. Only a simple selection, but its enough for a morning quick meal before your excursions. Staff are very nice and welcoming and very helpful. One of the staff helped me get my clothes that fell from my balcony to the pool while I was trying to dry it out. Definitely recommended to anyone who want a nice and cheap place to stay in Cenang. Will definitely book with them again when I return.

Stumbled across this gem when I was looking for a work-holiday stay that's walking distance to beaches but far enough from crowds. What I experienced was pleasantly beyond my expectation. Peter and Su greeted us personally at check-in. Very hospitable and jovial couple who are always willing to share tips and stories. Their staff emulates their hospitality in every way, from the breakfast to cleaning crew, and speaks highly of them. As kak Siti took us to the room, I noticed that the compound is very neatly kept with ample greenery, fish ponds and some cats. I’m usually weary of cats due to allergies, but these cute pets I had no problem with. In fact, I looked forward to seeing them when I’m in the compound in the day (kept in a kennel at night). They’re very clean, cheeky and entertaining, and don’t invade your space. No incessant meowing either. The villas are nicely spaced for two. On one side of the studio space you’ll find a living room, working and dining areas, small kitchen with basic amenities. On the other side, super soft and comfortable queen bed and pillows that you’ll just love sinking into after a long day, split shower and toilet, all the essentials you need. Fast WiFi speed as well, but you may need to step out of the room for better connection. A simple buffet breakfast is served every morning with selection of breads, side salad, muesli, coffee, tea, eggs, fruits and the occasional nasi lemak. Just nice to fuel up for a walk or beach day. One thing to note is exceptions are made on Fridays to have breakfast served in the room. A tray of yogurt, milk, muesli, bread (toaster is provided in the room), butter and jam is given. But you can also make a request if you’d like something extra and they’ll be more than happy to accommodate. Was really looking forward to extending another night, which Peter did for me very quickly upon request, unfortunately last minute plans took hold. So sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for taking the time to do this! One thing for sure is I know I’ll be back to stay the next time I visit Langkawi. See you all again soon! Reviewed By pingpingjoWe ended up here due to a last minute decision to go Langkawi without booking a place to stay. The resort looks like it has seen better days. The whole area is huge and there are several types of stay, we opted for longhouse type with the pool at our room’s doorstep. For those who are not fussy and prefer a quiet place to stay, this can be a great option for you. Not much amenities, services and the restaurant stopped operating for the time being. Many hotels and resorts took a bad hit from the pandemic and this might be the case for Ocean Residence.

Reviewed By Zerrubabel100Although we have been back to Langkawi a number of times since our last stay at La Pari, sadly we have not been able to stay at the hotel for one reason or another. However, this week we got back and this place never fails to deliver! The rooms are great - clean and well equipped. The space is wonderfully quiet and the pool served a purpose for us as a family of four travelling with another family of four. The 'deal clincher' are the staff and the restaurant. Wonderful attention and care from a team of dedicated staff who are always on the lookout to help. The food at the restaurant is second to none in Langkawi. Large portions of amazing Nonya style food but a menu to suit everyone at reasonable prices. Why would anyone eat anywhere else? If you want the busyness of beach activities and night parties this is probably not the place for you (although you should definitely get there for a meal!). However, if you want to truly relax and choose what you want to dip into in Langkawi then this place is ideal. We will definitely be back!

Reviewed By anneliesen22Our stay at Senari Bay Resort resulted in the THEFT OF 900 USD EQUIVALENT WORTH OF CASH FROM OUR LOCKED ROOM. Multiple currencies of RM, SGD and USD were skimmed from our baggage left in the room. This occurred after the first and only housekeeping of our 4 night stay. The cash was hidden in an envelope in a zipped pouch in a zipped pocket of a zipped luggage. No safe is provided in the room so expect rummaging of any possessions left unlocked. No CCTV cameras present and security is non-existent. Management is friendly and helpful but the staff are questionable. Room was decently clean. Air-con and fan provided. Breakfast was provided and reasonable. Location was quiet. Cheap taxis to all main attractions. Water bottles and filtered water available. Tour packages available at an affordable rate. Lizards and ants in room upon arrival and during our stay. Towels, bath mats, toilet paper, and other basic amenities must be retrieved from upon request. CRT/Tube TV had 3 channels that were basically unwatchable due to static. Not a problem for us, but may be an issue for families or guests that hope to have entertainment in the room.

NOT VEGAN FRIENDLY!
Reviewed By osallahThis is an honest message to other vegans / vegetarians. I live in Langkawi and it’s well known that the owner of the hotel hates vegans. He’s openly hates vegans too! He’s even made all the pita bread and vegan pizza bases contain yogurt. So having a pizza without the cheese wouldn’t work either! My family wanted to go there on Christmas Day! There was nothing for me on the menu except chips. He knew I was vegan but put creamy sauce over all the chips. None of the staff understand what “vegan” is and couldn’t tell me what was in the sauce. So I didn’t eat them! I didn’t complain, even when the aubergine came with the same creamy sauce!!! I gave up trying, and watched the sunset instead, not wanting to cause a fuss! Then the owner finds out I am vegan comes over to our family meal to power trip me by telling me I have too much of my legs on his chair. I did NOT have my feet on the chair, my calves were on a pillow and my feet were hanging off the seat... It felt like he was just trying to upset me because I wasn’t able to praise his food! This is basically just a warning to anyone looking to avoid animal products, your experience will be a nightmare! Go somewhere else! I told the owner to add vegan options to the menu and he said “no, I don’t want to loose money”! If you care about animals do not support this business.
