We had a nice warm welcome from the staff on the Sunday afternoon when we checked in, despite them being very busy with the Sunday Roast service. The room was good sized and had a nice ensuite bathroom. There were plenty of USB outlets to charge phones etc. No refrigerator, although we need to keep some stuff cool and the staff kindly stored it in the Kitchen Fridge (and remembered it was there when we checked out!) The food was good. Pub style for the most part. Breakfast was excellent with extra friendly staff on hand. Overall, a very comfortable stay. We would certainly return.

Reviewed By matthewpD5040WQConsidering how conveniently near the airport and main road the hotel is; it was surprisingly peaceful and offers some beautiful views. The hotel receptionists were very polite, patient and professional as well as providing great tips to ensure I enjoyed my exploration of the Island. I was able to come and go as I please (often unsociable hours) without obstacle. My room was clean and appeared well maintained, and I highly recommend including breakfast in the booking as it offers good options to start your day.. There is a dinner menu available, but it you don't fancy it (or miss it) then there's a local shop just up the road and a cafe a bit further on. The hotel also allows takeaway delivers if you want to order from on of the ones nearby. The Sefton Express is a brillant hotel that provides all the service of some of the bigger hotels, but at a fraction of the cost.

Good location very close to the sea front, but quiet, it was nice to be able to open windows and still get a good night's sleep. Breakfast was excellent, although I definitely need a few days off after 5 full English. WiFi worked just fine in the restaurant, but didn't reach my room on the first floor, this wasn't great as several days of my stay was work related. If this could have been sorted it would have received the extra point. I did raise the issue with reception. This is not a luxurious hotel, but is comfortable and well priced.

Reviewed By DayTrip30387404786Avoid. No hygiene sticker . Room was freezing. Had to repair the TV aerial cable myself . Empty drinks bottle behind furniture. Mould in the bathroom. Key code for entrance was faulty. I will give you the scaffolding as maintenance has to be done , but as you can see from the photos the front entrance was an absolute disgrace.

The rooms are an exceptional standard, beautifully presented and so comfortable. The en suite is amazing. Her food is just so delicious: nothing is too much trouble. Reviewed By 704wendybFabulous place, met friends here for lunch in Sunday. Lovely food, great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. Also came for a drink with friends on Monday too. Would definitely recommend. Views of the bay are great. They have accomodation too.

We run two Guest Houses on Empress Drive, namely The Island at number 4 and opposite it The Fairfield at number 7. Both are 3 star rated by Isle Of Man Tourism. Situated just 50 yards off the Central Promenade, we are an ideal base for the town centre with restaurants, shopping, nightlife, casino, cinema, theatre, children's play areas and the Villa Marina and Gardens complex all within easy walking distance along the beautiful promenade. Bus and Horse Tram stops are at the bottom of the road and if you are self drive there are no parking restrictions on Empress Drive. We are open all year round and all our rooms are en-suite with free wi-fi. We have a Residents Bar in the Island that is available to all of our guests, serving food from 6pm to 9pm. We welcome group parties and families and strive to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible. Our B&B rates are £37.50* nightly for single occupancy rooms and £65 for a Double/Twin room. Reviewed By SammyD-UKHad a very enjoyable stay. Celine was very helpful and friendly. Situated in a side street just off the promenade, so front rooms have a side sea view. Rooms are clean, a good size and tea/coffee making and biscuits available. The beds were incredibly comfortable. Bathroom small but adequate and toiletries provided. Lots of choice for breakfast. Accommodating for early check-out. Free parking is available in Empress Drive and surrounding streets, but rather busy. Would return.

At caledonia is located in Douglas bay, 3 star rate Guest House. we have a Chinese restaurant on the first floor, serving a la carte menu food from 5.30pm to 11.00pm. Our aim is provided a clean comfortable bed and a good breakfast for our guest in the budget price.
Pleasant Seafront Hotel.
Reviewed By Derrick HA nice, clean hotel situated at the far end of Douglas Bay. The rooms are quite small with limited storage room. but the beds were comfortable and the shower was both hot and plentiful. The breakfast was also nicely cooked and filling setting you up perfectly for your day ahead.
