It’s just 2 minutes walk to the lake and other exciting places arround. The rooms were super clean , beds are comfortable but wifi was quite slow ?

Very large room with romantic style, nice balcony with lake view, beautiful garden, excellent breakfast near the garden, very good service.Very good value for money. When I visit Gisenyi again I will enjoy again Stippi hotel experience.

Asked for more money, then canceled reservation
Reviewed By kertibI reserved three rooms at this hotel on Hotels.com for an upcoming trip in April. I was excited to stay, as the pictures looked beautiful. After booking the third room, however, the hotel staff reached out saying I needed to pay $56 more in order to keep the reservation, as they were in the process of changing their rates when I booked the third room. I checked back on Hotels.com, and the rates were actually LESS expensive than when I booked. When I asked them why this was, I got a message from Hotels.com saying that all three reservations were canceled at my request. So be wary booking at this hotel.

Reviewed By piarap2019Good garden and view but the food isn't good and they don't worthy the money they ask for ,saving dinner on salad plates is annoying,Wi-Fi is very slow,salad is full of vinegar,just don't eat there ,time you wait is so long because if you are hungry you can't wait them you get sad and if manage to wait and food come look dry the workers are not professional how they handle the clients ,trust me go there if you want enough money to pay for nothing really but if you want to be happy in the moment your journey go some where else

Right on the shores of gorgeous lake Kivu, the Sisters who run it are friendly, open and genuinely interested in helping you with next steps, or activities to do. The dinner is a MUST have - you will not be disappointed by the food ? all in all, one of my favourite places in Rwanda.

Reviewed By TravellerKNFTerrible experience. Description of air conditioning in room, but this is not the case. Staff claims they cannot change this on booking websites. Sheets were very dirty, but they were changed upon request. Woken up in the middle of the night because of leaking roof. When we complain about this, the manager doesn’t want to speak to us directly and thinks this is no big deal. Besides this the place is very basic (especially the bathroom) and outdated.

Beautiful views but very bad room service with no water
Reviewed By 457chichigI only recommend coming here for lunch and a day hang out, not to stay overnight The rooms did not have mats and there was no proper water pressure the whole time I was there. There was no water at all when I arrived and they did not give the heads up. Had to ask them repeatedly to fix it The fish for lunch or dinner is really good They were mostly occupied with serving the events and large groups there so would not recommend for overnight stay. There was a wedding and another company group the time I was there. And then the security person was peeping through my window while I napped on the first day. I had to alert the manager and he apologized and promised to handle it

Reviewed By Bo YThe Belvedere has a very interesting architecture and a very grand view of Lake Kivu. The 100 dollar rooms are good too, so I have heard. But the 50 dollar room was worth maybe 20. Very soft bed, gloomy furniture etc so you stay in such a room only once.

Nice staff but unprofessional boss
Reviewed By Cruiser39902I won’t recommend this place to anyone else anymore the boss was unfriendly and unprofessional. The staff was nice and helpful. The boss was Trying to make us pay extra the morning when we were leaving and were giving us a hassle but it was a very nice place for the price.
