Martina and Brendan are wonderful hosts who make you feel very welcome. The two of them along with their son Patrick couldn’t do enough. Our only complaint was the weather which meant we couldn’t explore the beautiful surroundings. The room was spotless and the bed so comfortable. The breakfast was cooked to perfection. We just can’t wait to go back and explore the views, area and walks. Marty and Lorraine

Sight-See in Belfast, Stay in Moira

Thanks to Amex Travel, we were able to discover Ralph's, for a two night stay on our travels to Belfast. Because we were traveling with our elderly fathers, my wife and I wanted something more quiet and accessible. Ralph's was a great find and we were very happy with it's location (about 15 miles from Belfast) in relation not only to Belfast but local restaurants and bars. The rooms were of good size and very comfortable, and a sitting room in the front was spacious and allowed us to meet fellow guests. The best part were the morning breakfasts--Mariana our host was lovely, funny, warm and attentive. And the food was delicious. Well done Ralph's.

Beautiful, elegant guesthouse

I stayed here for 10 days while I was waiting to move house. The double house guesthouse is situated in a quiet, prestige area of Bangor with a large driveway for guests to park. Approximately 5 mins walking distance into the town centre and a few mins from the harbour. The room was a large double, modern, beautiful and clean. The ensuite was large and very modern. Plenty of heat and hot water all day. A fully fitted kitchen for guests to cook home from home. Ann, the proprietor is a very genuine and welcoming lady and went out of her way to make me feel happy, safe and comfortable. I highly recommend a stay in this timeless guesthouse during your visit to Bangor, Co. Down.

Simply Magnificent

Reviewed By Howfarishe

Due to the rough seas, we where stranded in Ireland for one more night (but what a beautiful country to be stranded in) This beautiful place was very close to us when we received the news about our Ferry. Upon arrival Terry was very welcoming to us and showed us all the amenities that their lovely place had to offer. The very first thing I did is run myself a hot bath, as the bath was one of the deepest bathes I had seen in years and this did not disappoint, it was the nicest bath that I had in years, I felt so relaxed after that bath! It had been a very busy day for us that day, so a great nights sleep was very much needed that night, and again the bed did not disappoint the firmness was perfect and we went to sleep like a “couple of logs” In the morning we both had a wonderful shower each and there was plenty of hot water. Then we got to sample the delights of the kitchen as in the Ulster breakfast which Terry and Avril had lovingly prepared for us, I started with stewed rhubarb yoghurt which was simply amazing. Then on to the 5 star Ulster breakfast which was worth the trip to Ireland alone, to sum up the breakfast “Simply magnificent” We will be going back to this beautiful part of Ireland very soon and when we do, we will be 1000% staying here again Highly recommended Mr and Mrs Bailey

Mixed Feelings

Reviewed By Leemacc1972

Very mixed feelings about this little place. On arrival very friendly member of staff checked me in .Our room was at the very top of the house ,I am not sure that its accessible to Those with a disability .The room was clean and bright and beds where comfortable. Tea coffee and water was provided. When I tried to take a shower the thermostat was broken and honestly the water would have scalded ! I reported this to a member of staff and the manager came to report he couldn't fix the problem ,there was no offer of a change of room ,so no shower at all. We are in the restaurant on Sat nite the service and food where very good and we enjoyed starters and main course. It should be noted that the accommodation is not in the same building as the restaurant and bar but accessed by a separate door in the street . Breakfast on Sunday morning was a disappointment, we sat down and where offerred tea and coffee and then waited for 50 full mins on our Cooked breakfast which would be excessive even on a busy morning but there was around three other tables to be catered for .when breakfast arrived there was no apology for the delay .Food was fine and hot when we did receive it.
