Reviewed By marcoschneiter1917The hotel was a nice surprise as I usually book B&Bs in Colico. I enjoyed the very nice mix of familiar atmosphere and professional hospitality. The general manager is very dedicated and worked her socks off - many thanks to her. I will definitely consider to stay there when I return to Colico.

Reviewed By EuroTravelCoachThis is a good spot to base while exploring the area. Room was very clean and comfortable. We had a bath down the hall which was fine. Check in was a little funny. We had to call and were given instructions over the phone on how to get in. Breakfast was very good and staff very helpful...when they were there.

Reviewed By superscaryshadowmanWhilst snug, the room overlooked Lake Como and was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and of a high quality, as was the food in the restaurant opposite. All staff really friendly. A family run business showing real care and attention to their guests.

Reviewed By Edy HFirst of all: The fish meal had been excellent. However ... I had ordered a bottle of white wine declared as "Triple 'A'". No vintage mentioned in the wine card. They brought me a 5 year old white wine. The waiter - in my humble opinion - had no idea howto open a wine bottle. Starting from the removal of the capsule, ending with hiding the cork in his trousers without even smelling on it. Well - on first impression the wine had been strange for me and I said 'OK'. (My fault.) But very soon, I had noticed an unmistakable oxidation smell. The color of the wine was not as light yellow as described in international wine descriptions, but more golden blonde or darker. I asked the waiter, if that color is really typically for that wine. He asked me to wait. ... wait ... The female chef came and declared me with conviction, that this is typical for this natural wine. 'It is as her father had made it', she told me. How would you - dear reader - jugde such a wine? And how would you judge duch a restaurant??

It is a good solution for leaving from here to reach very interesting destinations where enjoying artistic and naturalistic attractions. The rooms are nice, quite large and comfortable. The staff is kind and professional.

Immagina un luogo tranquillo, fuori dai soliti schemi, intimo e curato nei minimi particolari, dove ti senti coccolato e sempre a tuo agio: ecco, questa è la Locanda Capolago. Oggi riapre in una veste diversa dal passato, rimarrai meravigliato davanti ai grandi camini neri, pavimenti in marmo Piemontese originale interamente recuperati e particolari in ferro battuto. Il ristorante gastronomico, cuore della nuova ospitalità, si trova al piano terra con un ampio spazio interno da 40 posti suddivisi in tre splendide salette. Abbiamo progettato personalmente il nostro giardino situato nel centro storico di Colico, creando una stupenda veranda all’aperto con imponenti platani secolari ed un elegante copertura. Il tutto circondato da diverse aiuole di erbe aromatiche, rose e siepi verdi; una cornice ideale dove poter gustare la nostra cucina, basata sulla qualità e sulla freschezza delle materie prime sapientemente abbinate.
Ritorneremo certamente!!

It is the perfect place for a holiday filled with sport, fun or simply peace and relaxation.

Reviewed By IrishSemLarge bedroom with beautiful view of lake como. The husband and wife hosts were very welcoming. The location is up a large semi steep hill but that is what helps with the view. The breakfast served was extensive with many pastries. Overall it was well worth the rate we paid

The owner is the most kindest, flexible and made us feel like home immediately. Great variety of breakfast, also you can freely use their bikes and the pool. Would have stayed longer but had to change the city. Thank you ♥️♥️
