Outstanding hotel at Bormio
Reviewed By Foodies4FromTxHotel Gallo Cedrone was an outstanding find on Expedia. It is approximately 30 minutes’ drive up a winding road, and we found out why upon arrival. We were at the base of Bormio 2000 ski lift and is apparently ski-in , ski-out in the wintertime. For hiking, it was a perfect location, with the hiking trail to Santa Catarina leaving at the driveway of the hotel where the road ends. The family room was perfect, with a queen bed and 2 bunk beds, clean, with a shower and mountain view. Breakfast was wonderful, with homemade cheese omelettes or fried eggs, cappuccinos or tea or hot chocolate (submarinos), homemade croissants, and jelly.

Lovely and cozy room in Bormio
Reviewed By Jessica rAll made of natural wood, the room is very spacious with two single beds, a spacious open-closet and a big bathroom with shower, bidet and courtesy set x 2 persons. The room is equipped with boiler and some tea/coffee (if want tea, better you bring your own tea bags since in the room only 2/3 are included). Nearby the guesthouse you can find a public parking: the park is free from 7pm to 9am, rest of the day only 1 hour park is permitted (Bormio is well equipped with in-ground parking that are quite cheap so the suggestion is to park there as soon as you have unloaded your baggages). Last, the guesthouse is highly self-service during the weekend: enter in the room with a code, send a Whatsapp message to the host with the personal IDs (the message serves as check in) and leave the hotel tax money in the room. No need to waist personal time to meet the host and to apply for formalities: great solution for time-sensitive guests :)

Friendly and Comfortable in a Great Location
Reviewed By George DThis is a nice family run hotel, with friendly service close to the Gondola and a short walk to the old town. My room was bright and simply furnished, looked recently decorated and was spotlessly clean with a modern bathroom, comfortable bed and balcony. Breakfast and dinner were both good. Its a short walk to the gondola on a level street, and the end of the day you can jump off the piste and walk along a short path to the road less than 100 metres from the hotel. I would stay here again if I return to Bormio.

Perfect in hard times
Reviewed By 812alexeyaCan't estimate details but main thing for me is relation to the guests. We did not arrive because of Covid well before pandemic was announced. And owners still agreed to return our money back in full. There is hard times now in Italy - for hotel business in particular. And even under these extremely hard circumstances owners think about guests first, which means a lot. Surely appreciated and would stay there in more suitable period.

L’hotel è un po’ datato, la dependance è ricavata da un vicino condominio e le stanze, seppur pulite, risentono dell’influenza dell’hotel come dotazioni, abbastanza essenziali. Personale molto disponibile, colazione abbondante e prezzi abbordabili. Per una notte o poco più è accettabile.

It offers cozy rooms, perfectly heated, excellent local cuisine.Overall very clean hotel.Room 202 offers 3 windows, 3 heaters, complimentary bathrobe and slippers and plenty of fresh towels of all size.You may opt for the half-pension (wine not included) and be introduced to local cuisine from Valtellina.It is perfectly quiet at night and an excellent choice for pure relaxation.The weather may be very changeable, due to the altitude but if you're in for the pure air and the landscape You'll find it hard not to come back.Unfortunately, despite being a place known worldwide for professional skying, you cannot visit it in wintertime, as the pass will stay closed from November till May.

Reviewed By aholidaysWhat a fabulous holiday we had. We booked an appartement on the 4th floor, not a hotel room. The appartement was very clean, there is a microwave, induction kitchen, fridge, kettle, all plates, cups, cutlery - everything we needed. The hotel is located perfectly, 5 mins drom the Bormio hot thermes, 2 mins from the main square and shopping street where are many restaurants, and 1 minute from a nice playground and supermarket. The owner is amazing, she is so nice, helpful and kind. Very accommodating! We made a mistake with the departure date... (never happened to us before :)) and she was nothing but fantastic! So professional, calm and with this lovely smile. Nothing was a problem. The breakfast is very nice, real Italian style :) The sauna is great and the exercise room as well as the relaxig area are super. And my older son made great friends with the owner’s fabulous dog :) We will be back for sure!
