Reviewed By Jacki HWe stayed at the Olympic View overnight after landing at Chania Airport, before driving to Eastern Crete, and again on the way back. The owner, Nectarios, couldn't have been more welcoming. He sat us down and offered us cold drinks (you must try his cherry raki - delish!) and fresh fruit. All the rooms have names, not numbers and on our 2nd stay we were given 'Aphrodite'. The bathroom was huge, with a big corner jacuzzi with a shower attachment, bidet next to the loo, his'n'hers handbasin, and even a washing machine! And still lots of room to spare. The view from the balcony was probably one of the best views I've ever seen.The bedroom had a fridge with tea and coffee making facilities. Kalami is a tiny place, no shops that we could see, and only 2 (or 3?)tavernas but it's only a few minutes drive to picturesque Kalives with its numerous tavernas and sandy beach. The only thing I would change is the parking. Be careful not to park under the trees if they're in fruit, otherwise you'll find it difficult getting the stains off the paintwork. Would thoroughly recommend Olympic View.

Reviewed By bixsterHave stayed in a few places in Georgiopoulis but Sunlight is now the only choice for us. It’s in a great location right on the beach and the rooms are immaculately clean. The Taverna is great and snacks can be delivered to you on the beach. There’s a number of smarter places to stay, but they’re all a bit soulless and corporate. Stick with family places to eat and drink and reject All Inclusive!

Reviewed By helenskipp18We always stay at Drosia as it ticks all our boxes for the best stay in Georgiopoli! After an enforced two year absence and a few cancellations, we were delighted to get back there again last week and all I can say is that this hotel is as friendly and welcoming as its always been - Christina will go those extra steps to ensure you have the most relaxed and comfortable stay - the rooms are still spotlessly cleaned, well equipped with fridge, kettle and utensils (ask for anything more you need and it will be provided!) and more than reasonably priced! Drosia is quietly located (silent in fact because of the double balcony doors - one being the blackout one) yet perfectly positioned by the bridge for a stroll to tavernas aplenty, Kalivaki beach (or the town beach) for an early morning swim and the eucalyptus tree road alongside the river for an occasional run! The bus stops for Rethymnon and Chania are just a few hundred meters along the road opposite the hotel if you want a few drinks further afield! We had a car for a few daytime excursions and trips to the long beach further east and parking on the hotel forecourt could not be easier, closer or safer. The air conditioning is super efficient and the WiFi signal is also good. We wouldn't stay anywhere else and this time we brought friends who loved it there as much as we do and are talking of rebooking as soon as they can! Thankyou Christina yet again for looking after us all so kindly (and for the little treats you left in our room!) xx

If you are looking for a nice sunny place for your holidays on Crete...its located in the heart of Georgioupolis, 300 m from the sandy beach and 100m from the village square, conveniently placed for local amenities. It consists of 18 rooms (single, double and triple bedded), a lounge with bar/ satellite TV and a terrace full of flowers appropriate for your breakfast in the morning or a cocktail in the evening. The well maintained rooms provide a bathroom with shower, balcony, an air-conditioning system and a safety box.

Reviewed By John RThe room was basic but very clean and cleaned every day except Sundays. More importantly our host ,Maria and her staff were genuinely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was eaten on the terrace and was provided by the busy cafe across the road .More than enough for us! I last visited Crete and this area over 30 years ago and was concerned it may have changed for the worse. There's no denying that there have been a lot of changes but the atmosphere and the people are as good as my memory recalls. We will definitely be back and thoroughly recommend this place if you want a quiet holiday base close to the attractive centre and beach

Reviewed By Susie454What a lovely place to spend time, Pinelopi apartments are set in a beautiful vale amid small mountains, sheltered and beautiful. Each apartment is fully furnished with cooking facilities, sink and China, comfortable beds,en-suite, balcony’s. A little food served on site, good breakfast but for dinner Georgioupoleos-Kourna is not far away. A beautiful well kept pool and surrounding deck- beds make this a very relaxing place, not sure what it would be like when school is out, my visit was in June so peaceful. Nice family run business and a most pleasant place to spend time. I do recommend.

They are all so friendly and the hotel is spotlessly clean, the food was excellent through both hot & cold choices and we were full board. Of course the beach access, as in just over the road! Was a massive plus on our trip. Just 5/10 minutes stroll to the small square with numerous bars, eateries and shops. All in all a fantastic holiday, especially if you are looking to chill and re charge, not for younger party people though.

Lovely hotel perfect location
Reviewed By Sarah6077We have just got back from a lovely holiday and stopped at this hotel. The room was very basic however the beds were comfy and there was a fantastic shower room. The balcony overlooked trees at the rear which could have been made better if they were trimmed back so that the sun could get through to the balcony. The rooms and corridors were kept spotless and the staff were very friendly. The only negative I have regarding the hotel was lack of storage in the rooms and the lack of bowls and other cutlery items that would be ideal for breakfasts when people are self catering. The apartment is close to the town centre and a vast choice of tavernas. I would definitely be considering staying here again next year!

The resort itself is beautiful with the view on the mountains. The staff go above and beyond for their clients and I would recommend this hotel for everyone!
