10 Art Galleries in Sarajevo That You Shouldn't Miss

April 25, 2022 Kiesha Cripe

Bosnia and Herzegovina's fascinating capital Sarajevo nestles among dramatic peaks, a bustling and welcoming city. War took its toll, with the 1992-1996 siege hitting hard. But the lively, diverse, museum-rich city has been almost entirely reconstructed. Don't miss Bijambare caves, set in thick forests and amid lakes to the north of the city, or Bosna Springs, from which the country takes its name. Site of 1984's Winter Olympics, Sarajevo offers spectacular skiing on Mount Bjelasnica Jahorina.

I can honestly recommend 'Kalem i misk' with all my heart. I'm totally satisfied with the parfume I got; it was really interesting how the man who works there mixed some smells so that I can have the perfect parfume for myself. I will come back here for sure, as soon as I'm out of this parfume (in the picture). ????????

Art Gallery of Bosnia and Hercegovina

Reviewed By stormwave_audio - Lisbon, Portugal

As with nearly everything in Sarajevo these days, you have to expect themes and issues of war to be represented. We went for "Intimacy" exhibition and it was quite that - intimate. The number of pieces isn't overwhelming in any way, but the details and backstories of them was more than enough to keep our full attention for 1-2 hours. The price of admission isn't much and the place isn't overcrowded, so there's a lot of quiet time to ponder. Definitely worth a visit, especially if the weather isn't on your side.
