Arena Mexico

We were nervous at first, we read alot of not so good things about the area of town it is in. We took an UBER to the front doors and home it was easy. We also walked around some of the vendors outside to buy things. There was police everywhere so we felt very safe. We went in line and got tickets which was easy. Then you go through a security check better than the airport. We had an excellent night, that felt very safe. There was families with kids and grandparents. It was awesome.

Arena Coliseo features Mexican-style masked Lucha Libre wrestlers.

I do not like the American version of wrestling at all. This on the other hand was a blast! The Lucha libre wrestlers are super entertaining and the atmosphere is all around fun. Don’t worry about taking a tour or buying your tickets ahead of time. Just go to the stadium about an hour before the show starts, buy your tickets at the ticket window then check out all the vendors selling merchandise outside the stadium. Lots of great deals to be found including some really cool shirts. We were about five rows away from the ring and near the aisle. The seats were great but being near the aisle the vendors can be annoying at times because they constantly walk around, usually in front of you selling their items. There’s dozens of vendors selling everything inside from Ramen noodles to big cheap beers. The shows are at least two hours long. After the show there’s still vendors outside selling stuff in case you didn’t buy before hand. It’s easy to get an Uber or taxi right outside the door but Uber‘s are a lot cheaper than the taxis. The area is very safe at night too so don’t worry. We had a great time and would highly recommend coming here for some fun entertainment.

We wanted to go to the football match here but there was so many other things we wanted to do and see. Had to stop here and get a picture though. Our Uber driver was very accommodating and stopped for us to take a picture. We are huge NFL fans. It would be so much fun to go to an NFL game here. Maybe next time

What a great venue. Well organized well oiled machine and very well kept. We were here to see Swedish House Mafia and the space is awesome and the whole space and event was very well organized and the staff did an amazing job for the huge crowd they had to deal with = very impressed and way cleaner and better organized than the concert events back home in the US.

Arena Coliseo

Do not miss this. This is raw, funky, wild, wacky, athletic and very local. The wrestling is a bit over the top, campy and staged but wildly entertaining. The total time for the matches is about 2-2 1/2 hours. There are one on one matches, tag team matches of two’s and three’s, males and females. The screaming audience is part of the overall experience. Uber easily drops you at the front door and call for another when you want to leave. The audience was very friendly and animated and there are plenty of police outside as you enter and leave the stadium. My suggestion sit in rows 3-7, rows 1 and 2 you will be part of the match. Sit back and enjoy, you will not believe the experience. Photos are allowed with cell phones, no cameras allowed and no outside drinks allowed, that means no water too. You can buy what you need without ever leaving your seat.
