We got the recommendation from the service at Hotel Karolek and eat two dinners here. I definetly recommend the Bigos - perfect. The prices are very low, so eating and drinking for two persons came out with a more than reasonable bill.

Arrived here at 8:40pm for dinner on a Saturday night. Was given menus and seated. Waitress arrived and took our drinks order (1 Ltr wine x2 people), asked what food we wanted immediately, we asked for a couple more minutes to decide.
By 9pm no waitress returned so we asked to place our order. First waitress didn't speak English (no problem as she then got a colleague) 2nd colleague said 'we've stopped serving, sorry' and ran off.
Having only drank one glass of wine each we approached the bar for an explanation. 'Sorry' was all that could be said. We asked to pay for the 2 glasses of wine only to be charged for the full litre. Having only ordered a full litre because we were dining we didn't want to drink on an empty stomach so made it clear we would only pay for what we had consumed. All the staff could do (and there was 5 of them stood around) was laugh. They agreed to reduce their charge - I should think so too!
Can't comment on food, but based professionalism and level of customer service - I'd never return or recommend!

Restaurant with good selection of pizza (from oven), fish and meat with surprisigly good service and good food quality for such a small town (I love Sucha Beskidzka, was born there but was used to lower quality in this area from the past). Salmon was perfectly baked with vegetables which both had rich taste and juice.
On the other side of the street in tiny store bought smoked fish for take away which was also delicious and of very good price!
Well, I am fish lover as you can see! Enjoy if you happen to be around.

The restaurant has been influenced by Monica Gessler having appeared on her restaurant makeover TV programme (think a Polish version of Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares). This is not a good thing! A traditional 'hut' has random bits of cloth hanging from the ceiling and mirrors angled wrongly. The staff were excellent however the food as poor, my 'schnitzel' was the strangest tasting one I have ever had the coating was actually sweet in a way that would have been more suited to a pudding. This dish is one of the basics of Polish cooking, how could it have been got so wrong? Prices were high for a rural restaurant

Kawiarnia, z szeroką kartą menu, wzbogaconą o naleśniki obiadowe, pierogi w wielu wydaniach, sałatki, grillowane kanapki, zapiekanki i burgery szybko zaskarbiła sobie serca miejscowych oraz turystów odwiedzających Zawoję. Można tu kosztować oprócz wyśmienitej kawy dobre regionalne piwa, wina i miody pitne. Zapraszamy gorąco do odwiedzin kawiarni-naleśnikarni w Zawoi.

Obsługa miła i uśmiechnięta! Polecamy i mamy nadzieję że jeszcze kiedyś tam trafimy, pozdrawiamy gorąco :)
