We like to find a special spot for our last evening on a trip, and the images of Emerson on Hurumzi made the choice easy. This was a very different experience from any we'd had in Zanzibar before. We sat on the floor on the rooftop and were served a fixed menu. We had an hour of sundowners cocktails then were introduced to the evenings events. They served what would have been a traditional wedding feast - a lot of delicious and unusual foods. The meal was accompanied by a local musical group who entertained us with traditional music.All in all a great way to celebrate the culture of Zanzibar.

We fell in this cute little restaurant along ShanganiStreet, Stonetown...looking only for a seafood snack the friendly owner Phillip at once offered alternatives in size of all delicious dishes. The taste of f.e.lobster and octopus was amazing, africanstyle and very yummy. The interior Design of that place is stylish, modern but uniquly African. Remarkable is the friendly and modest way of service.

The moment you first walk into the Park Hyatt hotel, the entire lobby is exquisite and glamorous. It sets the mood for anything you want - pictures, dinner, beachfront views, ocean dips and even a romantic or casual dinner. The stunning surroundings matches the exquisite hotel. The top notch service by every staff is fantastic. While we had some issues eating at the dining room, the food still came out delicious, fresh, aromatic tastes and filling. The beef tenderloin was cooked as I want, the red snapper kuku paka smelled and tasted heavenly and the bread - soft, warm and addicting. The views from the restaurant to the beach and ocean were amazing - definitely worth coming back for to watch the sunset and landscape scenery. Review of the hotel will be separate. Hands down a wonderful restaurant to compliment the hotel and architectural delight of Zanzibar.
