Creepy and rude

Reviewed By Judgejoa

We rented 2 ‘serviced’ apartments for a little over 2 weeks. Not once were the rooms serviced. No bed changing, clean towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent nothing! When we asked the managers they were just rude and said they serviced the rooms once a week, which they didn’t. After an outing during the day we came back and the front door was ajar but the room wasn’t even made up, the next night we went out and returned after dinner to find the lights had been switched off as well as the heater, again, the room hadn’t been serviced, we asked the managers about it who became extremely defensive insisting they hadn’t gone into our room but they were within their rights to do so if they wanted. The rooms were clean and well presented but the CREEPY owners lingered like drunk uncle at a Christmas party. Do not stay here

Excellent service

Great service. Will definitely be staying again. My partner and I were booked to stay 2 nights but only stayed until 3am the first night due to a family emergency. I contacted them later that morning to inform them that we no longer needed the second night. Even with the late notice. They refunded our second night. Very clean rooms with comfortable bed and the shower was great after a long day. Highly recommend

Avoid the Goldrush motel in Young NSW at all costs

If you enjoy bedding that is riddled with bugs that feast on you in the night. This is the place for you. There is nothing better than checking in healthy and checking out looking like you have small pox! But never fear. The owners are so so helpful. They will explain to you that no one else has complained therefore it must somehow be your fault! Apparently the obvious sores that have developed all over your body overnight in this hell hole must have come from anywhere else other than the rooms which look like they’ve been around since before European settlement. You would rather stay a night naked in the Amazon than in this poop excuse of a motel. Whether in Young for business or pleasure, stay as far away from here as you can.

Disappointing, rude

Reviewed By wrighty_321

On arrival to book in I was asked if I was only booked in for 1 night which I replied yes. I was then told I had only booked a room with 1 double bed, for 2 adults and 2 children. I replied no that is not correct I had booked a chalet which had a double bed, bunks, kitchen facility, balcony and other amenities, I was told no booking.com had made the wrong booking we just gave the chalet to another family who are here for 3 nights. There was no reasoning with the management the wife much worse than the husband. She had told me she would give me a porta cot and extra mattress on the floor for the children. As there was no other accommodation we tried everywhere in Young due to a football carnival, the wiggles concert and other things on in the town we had no other option. Once the porta cot was bought to the room the female manager was quiet rude, asking the children were they grumpy too, the whole family is grumpy. I replied with I would be taking this further, she slapped the bed in front of me and said please do, she then opened the door and told me we could get out, leave now. So she was prepared to put two young children on the street for the night. She proceeded to inform me she owned three other caravan parks besides this one and I would be black listed from all four, quiet frankly I would not stay with them again. She stated she owned them, the husband said they were only managers and the mistake was on booking.com not the caravan park if he owned the park he would not use booking.com and would prefer to physically do the bookings himself. Booking.com state as the bookings are computer generated from the advertised rooms listed there is no room for human error. So the room we got was a small motel room, a double bed, sink, kettle, toaster, 2 of cutlery and dinner ware, microwave a toilet and shower in a confined space, No couch, plastic chairs and this was a room booked for $220 a night. Extremely Disappointing to say the least, booking a room 2 weeks in advance to find yourself sleeping on the floor on a vinyl mattress was it a cabin or a prison setting, no complimentary milk and no WIFI although these are advertised.
