Tired, expensive motel in a good location.

Reviewed By Gunnerdo

The location of this motel is attractive, apart from this the rooms are tired and overly expensive. I'm guessing this motel was built 40 or 50 years ago and it is tired with plenty of minor repairs due in every room. Still comfortable but the prices are on the high side. Rooms get stuffy at night and if this is a problem you will have to use the A/C. Room has Microwave and tea and coffee makings. Parking is also tight!

This is a difficult review because the staff are very amiable, the amenities great & super clean, the location is 5 star BUT the caravan sites are ridiculously small. It feels as though you're all on top of one another and there's barely room for both your annexe & car. Ingress & egress is difficult if the park is busy and could be challenging if you're not super confident on backing in. WiFi remains an issue despite management saying they were addressing it several years ago.

Rude owner, dirty and noisy.

Reviewed By andregranadino

- Owner is very rude, especially when things don’t go his way. Politely asked for a refund and his response almost escalated into a tense situation. - Private room was filthy, linen full of dust - There were dogs walking inside the backpackers all day long and I foun several cockroaches in the kitchen area.

Business trip

I want to preface this review that the owner is a lovely man, very friendly. I was working in Coffs and due to my error left the booking too late to secure my normal motel. Every where was booked out and the only available rooms were here. Whilst the rooms are very spacious, they are not maintained to a great standard. Fly screen missing in the bathroom. Empty soap wrappers and long black hairs in the shower. Bathroom very small and vanity is in the main room. The mixer tap on the vanity was very loose and I nearly pulled it out the first time I used it. The rooms are not serviced daily ( if staying longer than a night) owner said he would get “ the girl” to service room on the Wednesday. This was not done. So no clean towels until Thursday. Floors were not swept or anything wiped down. Thank god since covid I always travel with glen 20 and disinfectant wipes. There is a full sized fridge in the room which was handy, but on top is the microwave. So when I used it I had to stand on the chair. Milk , tea bags and soap are not replaced so bring your own. The beds are very comfortable and the air conditioning works well.

Woolgoolga Coast Motel

Quiet comfortable and clean.

Reviewed By 928felicityg

Hadn’t stayed here for a few years, looks like it’s had a refurb - very nice. Twin room was large with very comfy beds, pillows seem to be new, room really well equipped, good shower, and very quiet. Easy walk to the beach and shops. Highly recommended.
