Been coming here since this restaurant first opened its doors back in September 1981, and the quality of the food, along with the friendly service and electric atmosphere has not changed. It’s as amazing today as ever. We had to queue for a while but the anticipation of delicious food to come, made the queuing time worthwhile. The best spare ribs, and the best veal escalope and spaghetti in my opinion in the whole of Essex, no make that the whole of England. The great atmosphere and the buzz there makes you feel like you’re at a big party.
Consistently great food, and friendly welcoming service. Still my favourite local restaurant.

It has been absolutely years since my last visit to this restaurant and I must admit that I was put off a little bit by the fact that they don't take Reservations. My hubby and I therefore arrived 30 minutes after opening at 5.30 and were seated immediately. Such a great selection of dishes - so much choice and only so much room in my stomach. Started with the whitebait and mackerel pate (sharing with my hubby). Absolutely delicious! He then moved onto the sea bass while I had the scampi with mashed potato. This was the best mash I have ever tasted. It was just a shame I couldn't finish all of it. Ok, there was a little bit of room left to share a jam sponge that was listed on the special's board - mine with custard and hubby's with ice cream. Clean restaurant, nice background music and very busy, helpful staff. Will definitely revisit.

Very casual and pleasant venue for lunch or dinner. Food is good ,varied and served up well by very pleasant staff. The venue is never over busy which possibly makes the ambiance and time you can spend over a meal precious. Overall this lovely place in my opinion is somewhat undersold and it deserves more support from us all

My husband and I visited The Queens Rooms for a late Saturday night dinner, and we absolutely loved our meal. The restaurant was cozy and warm, especially on a snowy night.
The staff were friendly, professional, and attentive. We started with Camembert bites with cranberry sauce and duck pate, which were both lovely. Our main meals of steak were perfectly cooked and seasoned. We enjoyed the chunky chips and carrots - the only dish lacking flavor was the macaroni and cheese. It needed something else to add a little pizazz to it. But all and all, we greatly enjoyed our dinner and can’t wait to return.

This was my fifth visit to this splendid Italian restaurant. I came here with my wife on a Tuesday night. There were just a couple of table taken.
We shared the Funghi Ripieni, which I totally recommend it. The cheese combined with the other ingredients are very tasty.
Then, we chose to pasta dishes as main courses, Spaghetti Carbonara for my wife and Spaghetti Siciliana for myself. My wife really enjoyed her dishes as I did mine. It was excellent, plenty of pasta and vegetables.
The service was very attentive and polite, as always here. If you want to eat quality food without going to Central London, this is your place.
We will come back soon!

I went with my friends yesterday (having found the restaurant on Trip Advisor and wanting to try something new) and the meal was so good, I took my husband again tonight.
The food was fantastic and the service was great too. The atomsphere/building is lovely, although it can be a bit crowded. The meal leans towards the pricier side but I honestly believe the price is worth it for the quality of the meal.

These guys did there level best to provide the best possible English restaurant that they could - serving very good food - reasonably priced - excellent service - good atmosphere often wih entertainment provided. No Gimmicks - good honest quality obviously let them down. Soon to be yet another Turkish Restaurant I understand - yuk. Wish Matt and the team all the best for whatever they choose to do in the future.

With eager anticipation, my wife, Angela, and I, booked a table for this festive occasion. The decorations were up, imbuing the charming rustic interior with just the right amount of sparkle. We were greeted with welcoming warmth by Silvi, whom we haven't seen for awhile, and she looked lovely and was on top form. We were shown to our table and placed our orders to Seb's brilliant saxophone phrasing, Sylvia's exciting vocals, and David's faultless guitar. Angela and I ordered the same: garlic king prawns and smoked swordfish and tuna. We relished every mouthful. This culinary delight was accompanied by an Italian white wine, Malfasia, which was light and fruity, complementing our meal perfectly. The place was pleasantly full, and the atmosphere of happiness flowed throughout the restaurant. The proprietors Alfie, Silvi, and Kevin are lovely, friendly people and all work damned hard. Angela and I would like to say a big 'thank you' to you and all at Casa Pipino's for the friendship and great food, and to Seb, Sylvia, and David for the superb musical renditions and innovations. Buon Natale and have a brilliant New Year - grazie mille. Keep smiling and we'll be seeing you soon.

We ordered a take away in January 2018, collected it, got home and found all the salads missing. Phoned, were told the manager would call us back. They didn't. Ordered a take away in February 2018, told them on the phone about our last experience, collected it, got home and found rice, not the 4 chips we had ordered. Also punnets packed in the take away bag on their sides so several dishes leaked out. Phoned. Went back. Waited. Waited, collected the chips. Received an apology. No offer of a drink while I waited, no offer of a free dish, no offer of a taxi to put the correct food in. Told the manager would call us. They didn't.

Been walking pass this restaurant since it opened and have only just tried it. Have been massively missing out especially on the takeaway.
