Prato (Italian pronunciation: [ˈpraːto] ( listen)) is a city and comune in Tuscany, Italy, the capital of the Province of Prato. The city is at the foot of Monte Retaia, elevation 768 metres (2,520 ft), the last peak in the Calvana chain. The lowest elevation in the comune is 32 metres (105 ft), near the Cascine di Tavola, and the highest is the peak of Monte Cantagrillo at 818 metres (2,684 ft). The Bisenzio (river), a tributary of the Arno, flows through it.

In the heart of the historical part of Prato, this little treasure offers the ideal environment to cheer with good Tuscan wine and eat delicious appetizers. Bartenders are friendly and give great advices about meal/wine matching. Must go there!

Non è la prima volta che a pranzo vado con un amico in questa interessante enoteca. I tavoli sono circondati da una serie di invitanti bottiglie che sono il biglietto da visita del locale. Anche la cucina non delude e fa molto bene la sua parte con le sue proposte assolutamente non banali. Oggi ho assaggiato dei paccheri con una crema di erbette, burrata e acciughe del Mar Cantabrico, un piatto molto bello anche a vedersi.

Grande qualità come del resto lo stesso ristorante Pepenero. Piccole tapas da gustare di un sapore incredibile da accompagnare con più di 600 etichette di vino in un contesto leggero con possibilità di scegliere la propria musica da una bella selezione di vinili. Un ambiente giovanile per fare un aperitivo che si prolunga a cena. Il suo difetto più grande è di essere troppo piccolo pertanto ne risulta obbligatoria la prenotazione. Hanno ultimamente iniziato a proporre anche i loro piatti da asporto consegnati direttamente a casa di cui ne ho usufruito già diverse volte. Consigliato

In Prato for three nights, but didn't fancy any of the local restaurants the first night until we came across Le Barrique. Had a fun dinner outside, with a good glass of Chianti each. Looked elsewhere the next evening but drifted back to Le Barrique, and had an even better one. The third night we didn't even try to look elsewhere, and went straight there. The music is loud, less so if you sit outside, the pasta is good the wine is great and the place has a vibe. Don't even think pf elsewhere, and tell them Michael sent you
