Heurige Haase is one of the few traditional Heuriges left in Guntramsdorf and has not had a "face lift".One has a choice of about 6 spreads, 6 salads, and 2 warm dishes. The Heurige is loved for its "Kummelbraten"(roast pork flavoured with cummin) and attracts visitors from outside the village.As it is a rather small locality non-smokers may not be too happy as it is open to smokers. There is a patio where one can sit in summer. This Heurige also participates in the Guntramsdorfer wine festival the "Jakobi Tage".

Heuriges are only open a certain amount of weeks a year as they only sell their own wine. Now-a-days many of them have proper restaurant facilities as does the Kirchheurige. During the week from Monday to Friday they also have a fixed meal at a fixed price as well as a la carte. In summer it is lovely to visit the heurige as it is possible to sit out in the courtyard. The Kirchheurige is also one of the heuriges participating in the Guntramsdorfer wine festival the "Jacobi Tage" with live music in front of the church. If you want a good glass of wine and a good meal this is the place for you. If you are staying in Vienna the Kirchheurige is easy to reach on the Badner Bahn.

Located in Mödling, a city in the periphery of Vienna, it is one of the most popular Heurigen restaurants to go. It offers excellent local wines together with a variety of food from a self-service buffet. Everything you can dream of in a cosy and friendly atmosphere and for a moderate price! Be sure to make a reservation, when it is open, it may be overcrowded!Please note that all Heurigen restaurants are only open at certain times which are sign-posted in the center of Mödling.

Group of seven of us so booked a table in advance, just in case. Sat inside as a bit too chilly for outside. We all chose different dishes - some with starters, some without, and some with puddings. Everything went down extremely well. Service at table for drinks as usual and went to buffet for food. Staff really nice - we will visit again. I was driving so could not drink but the wines chosen were good and also their local beer...

This is one of those places where tradition slowly gives way to commerce. It is more of a restaurant than a heuriger in traditional sense... But still the wine is good (award winning) and personnel friendly. Garden inside is also very nice, in warm weather I would recommend sitting there. Prices, especially for food, are relatively high.

Wir waren wandern am Anninger und kamen am Hochkräutl vorbei, wir haben uns überlegt das wir hier einkehren um eine kleine Jause zu uns zu nehmen.Wir haben uns an einen freien Tisch gesetzt und die Damen vom Service hat die Getränkebestellung aufgenommen.Die 2 weiÃen Spritzer wurden auch rasch gebracht, mit der Info das der Tisch ab 15:30 reserviert sei, auch ein wenig komisch das die Info erst kommt wo man schon bestellt hat, aber da noch genügend Zeit 14:15 Uhr kein Problem.Wir bestellten dann eine Hochkräutlplatte für 2 Personen und freuten uns drauf, weil doch schon der Hunger groà war.Als der Nachbartisch zahlte und die Dame dem Service mitteilte das sie leider gehen müssen und die Prosciuttoplatte nicht mehr wollen, sind die ersten Bedenken aufgekommen.Tja was soll ich sagen, nach 45min noch keine Hochkräutlplatte (nur kalte Sachen drauf), wir haben uns dann ebenfalls entschieden zu zahlen und mussten hungrig unseren Weg vortsetzen, auch der Tisch war ja schon reserviert.Der Ausblich ist wirklich toll, der Service sehr nett vor allem die Junge Dame extrem engagiert, leider alle total unkoordiniert.Hier fehlt es an einer ordentlichen zuteilung, denn wenn jeder versucht alles zu machen kommt leider wenig raus.Echt Schade für die Traum Location!Die Bewertung des Essens ist Ungenügend ausgefallen, weil wir einfach nichts bekommen haben, hat nicht mit der Qualität zu tun, diese konnte ich leider nicht beurteilen.

Hatten viel über den Wein und die Prämierungen gelesen und waren neugierig. Der Garten wunderschön, romantisch. Drinnen 60er Jahre, ziemlich abgenützt. Beim Büffet eher kleine Auswahl, aber ein Lammstelzchen mit 2 Beilagen über 20 Euro war schon sehr heftig, da man es sich ja selbst holen musste. eine kleine Scheibe vertrockneten Schweinsbraten mit Saft (das war reines Fett, nicht gut...) und 2 kl. Salaten 12.70 war auch echt heftig. In jedem Restaurant wird das serviert, hat man Tischtücher, und zahlt garantiert weniger. Weine sehr gut, Sturm auch. Das beste war das lustige Servierfräulein in kesser kurzer Hose, flink, nett, freundlich - SIE brachte wenigstens Leben hinein, denn der Herr am Büffett war sehr wortkarg und lieà sich immer bitten. Wir muÃten ein Weilchen warten, bis er kam, ich machte den SpaÃ, dass er uns doch nicht verhungern lassen könne, da kam nur die muffige Antwort, dass er selbst auch mal was essen wolle und jetzt erst am Abend zu seinem Mittagessen kam. Ich bedauerte ihn freundlich, er war weiterhin muffig. Aber das nette Fräulein hat uns mit der lustigen Art wieder versöhnt.

Was taken to this place for dinner by our host. This place is pure authentic. There is a country side charm everywhere with the way the place has been curated. The owner seems to be a good hunter as everywhere you find are the animal busts and skins. Perhaps an animal lover won't like to visit this place ;)The menu had mostly meat however, we were also served with few veg options. The food was good. The wine was special. As I understand the place has its own vineyard. Missed buying a bottle. It was one of the best red and white wine I've tasted. Will always remember my visit to this place full of legacy and authentic Austrian heritage.
