Every time we are near Lake Garda we try to visit Antico Borgo for an authentic regional meal. So far we have managed to visit 4 times. It has been frustrating to leave a review on TA as the restaurant was not listed or not listed correctly. It is also listed wrongly on google mapsIt is situated in the beautiful hamlet of Castellaro Lagusello (not Monzambano, which is 6km to the east) which is always recognisable on satellite maps by the inverted heart shaped lake. This place is very difficult to find as the signposting is bad and it is not well listed in all gps navigation systems.Our favourite dish is the pumpkin ravioli with sage.After dinner take a stroll around the beautiful medieval village.

What a great find, tucked away at the top of a side street not far from the 'castle ' we initially thought it was just a wine bar, but there is quite a well presented restaurant inside with a patio area. Wine served by the glass so you can try , as we did on one occasion, a glass of the more expensive Italian wines such as Amarone, could easily work your way through the wine list by trying a glass of each, maybe next time.Ate here once as well but only for a burger, which was very nice indeed well presented and delicious. We really should have eaten here again as the menu was quite intriguing.The staff were very attentive with out being intrusive and very friendly as well.

We ate here twice as part of a large group with children and the service was really good. The anti pasta boards are lovely and the mains we had were fantastic. Would particularly recommend the rabbit polenta and the gnocchi. Good wine too.
