This place has the cozy mix of Merida's pubs: a bit of colonial architecture, modern art, live entertainment and very friendly service. They give the best of the local brew, and they're not shy about their food: very professional. The menu has a very nice variety of gourmet burgers with catchy names. Check out the Speedy González on the picture. The downside: serving sizes are small, it's pricy, and some of the meals look better than they taste. Try the day menu!

I have visited The Clover many many times, so I can give a very honest review. The place is family owned by Daniela and Jose. José is the Chef, and Daniela is the rest. The first time we visited, we went with the kids. Daniela technically babysit for us! We thought we were going to have a family dinner, but we end up having a romantic dinner, with the kids in another table, having a great time. I think she read our minds. The food is the best! I have tried everything in the menu, always end up satisfied and happy! The place is magical, the ambient is great. I suggest you make a reservation because it gets pretty full sometimes. Every time we have visitors to Merida, The Clover is one of the mandatory stops.Gracias Jan Por La Descripción De Tu Experiencia En Nuestro Refugio, Hacemos Lo Posible Por Hacer Sentir Comodos A Nuestros Visitantes y Comensales, Esperamos Volverlos A Ver Por Aca.

Cafe & Tekenos

We went out looking for a restaurant to celebrate our anniversary but found they were mainly closed on a Tuesday, so we ended up in this cafe. We couldn't speak the language and neither could the staff but we found something on the menu that had cheese and thought we were ordering pizza. Turned out to be tequenos which is a breaded cheese stick, deep fried. It was delicious and we ate it, but pointed to the 'pizza' on the menu and did 'round pizza' gestures which received nods so ordered two. Yes we got more tequenos but pizza flavoured! We gave up but also had a very nice local bottle of red wine so the evening was not lost. It was definitely a locals cafe and for a place to socialise with friends it was very comfortable.
