This is a real gem! It's a specialist place for Italian cured meats. We had the mixed platter for two and it was fantastic. Best I've tasted! And since less common varieties as well. Staff were really friendly. He even went next door to get my wife some hot water! Now that's service. A must try if you can in Pisa.

We absolutely loved this restaurant and ate here twice. The food is delicious and the service is great. We sat outside on both occasions which was lovely. We really recommend this restaurant if you are in the Pisa area and we heard afterwards that this restaurant is well known and respected by the locals. On both nights (Saturday and Monday) it was extremely busy so make sure you're there between 7-7.30pm.Ciao Nicole,Thank you for your review! I never write reviews but we were very surprised. When we arrived at the restaurant we seré alinear and there was a very calm and pleasant atmosphere. The owner has suddenly arrived and started shouting at all the staff while facing us for almost 30 minutes. Not recomandable because of the owner! She treated her workers and us very bad!

This restaurant was excellent, from the minute we arrived we knew we were going to have a great experience and we were not disappointed. The food was wonderful, service perfect and we all enjoyed our Sunday lunch. We wished we lived closer!

When in Pisa please book a table at the Osteria dell'Usignolo (nightingale). The setting is so beautiful deliberately slightly shabby and classy. Both inside and in the garden. Home made bread and other delicious food all prepared by the owners is waiting for you with a great choice of wines. Service very friendly. Prices are moderate. Strongly recommended!!!

Incredibly we chose randomly the restaurant and we did not make mistake.We were in 4 persons, I chose salad caprese and additional geen salad, my friend a Picanha,his wife caneloni a and my wife calzone... oh my God!! Stunning....Waitress English speaker and good service overall....

What an amazing place! Thanks to great reviews on TripAdvisor we decided to visit this rural gem.The food was good, plentiful and truly Tuscan. Antipasti, pasta, meat and fresh vegetables, followed by a lovely dessert made us more than content.The house wine is special treat - something special , but not so out of the ordinary that it becomes odd. Spicy olives, fresh cherry tomatoes, lovely basil and home made olive oil were all lovely culinary surprises.The place is small, and the people are friendly. The proprietors take great pleasure in demonstrating their produce, their food and chatting with the customers. We felt welcome into an Italian family dining experience. The restaurant is outside, so bring a shawl or some bug spray if you are sensitive.The wine (both white and red) are for sale, together with the olive oil.There is no credit card machine, so bring cash :) Absolutely worth the drive Please visit - because this is amazing.
