New Glarus is a village in Green County, Wisconsin, United States at the intersection of Wisconsin Highways 69 and 39. It has a population of 2,172 according to the 2010 census. Since 2000 it has had a population growth of 2.9 percent. The village, and the town that surrounds it, were named after the canton of Glarus in eastern Switzerland. The community was founded in 1845 by immigrants from that canton and was incorporated in 1901.

My wife and I came in here for lunch on a recent visit to New Glarus. When you walk into the place you're in the bar and you'll see all of the New Glarus taps with their great beer. We both ordered a grilled pork tenderloin sandwich that was outstanding. Great service, old-school hardwood floors and a warm & rustic atmosphere make it great for lunch, dinner or just a couple of beers. I'll call it a must-visit place. Cheers to Glarner Stube.

You canât pour the leftover OJ from the brunch buffet back into the jug!!! Even if you are gonna send it home with the staff or something, donât pour it back in the jug right in front of guests. I canât help but wonder what other buffet stuff is getting saved and reserved later.

We always stay at the Chalet when we are in New Glarus. We eat breakfast there and usually at least one dinner. Everything we've ever had has been delicious! The fondue is wonderful. The schnitzels are all delicious. The weekend breakfast is beyond compare! We love the roesti.
