Came to the place quite late and we wanted to eat. We checked the menu and decided we would get pizza. I see a garçon at the bar and ask if we can get some food. The reply was that they have an organized party and they don't serve anything but alcohol. The least they could do was to put a sign at the entrance that the restaurant is closed for the evening because of the party.

Leksand is not a town of great restaurants, but if you want a top quality burger - this is the place. The ambiance is plain, the service is ok, the price is average - but the food weighs it up. We have already been back for seconds.

The restaurant was rated as 8 from 10. If that is true the other restaurant will probably be michelin level (LOL).Atmosphere is good, personel friendly and accomodating, food is excellent. Yes, somewhat crowded but hey; for less then 1000 SEK for four persons that's what you should expect.Nice bottle of wine (marques de riscal) served with a wine cooler; that is how it is done.

The concept is excellent, eat a meal while the boat travels over lake Siljan and offers great views of the countryside. The boat trip is awesome! However the food is terrible. We opted for the "shrimp cruise" and were served a large bowl of tasty shrimps, so far so good. The condiments were rhode island dressing, and a prebuttered roll with a sweaty slice of cheese. That´s it. Not even a wedge of lemon was included. But at least the view was nice while we were eating.

The first time we stopped here to enjoy the beautiful outdoor setting and comfortable couches. We ordered bruschetta for an appetizer, but then I ended up ordering another serving for dinner. It was so delicious we came back a couple of days later for another couple of servings. I think it was so delicious because everything was fresh and local. We took home bakery items (carrot cake!) to enjoy later.

Maybe it's because we ate there on a Sunday but it was really cold inside! Small menu choice and some items were not available. The food was really good but a little too pricey in my opinion.

Went for a christmas package-weekend including all food. 5 course dinner first evening *****, superb. And a great traditional christmas buffé next day. Quality on food at the buffé and atmosphere is fantastic. All at a reasonable price ! The Mansion is located beautifully by lake siljan, and has an interesting history that they share with their guests.
