We came here for breakfast after reading great reviews and the experience certainly didn’t disappoint! The food was superb - hot, tasty and fresh and it was lovely to watch it all being cooked by the extremely talented Tony. Great vibe here, would love to return for a gourmet evening meal.

I was in Coventry City Centre in July and had a series of meetings in the morning from 06:30 through till 18:30 in the evening. I’ve just started a new diet and wanted something quick, healthy and fresh literally in a 30 minute gap I had in between meetings. I didn’t want anything to heavy but I wanted something fast and it had to be tasty. In Market way I came across a series of Green Vans with chairs outside selling all kinds of food from around the world which seemed to be very Chinese based. I didn’t really fancy noodles and came across this Millie’s Kitchen serving various Pasta dishes and Thin Fresh Pizza by the owner, a lady called Milly/Millie? I’m not quite sure where she was from but I told her I wanted something quick, healthy and not too heavy. She guided to me to having a thin crispy pizza then before my eyes she started flouring her counter and made it all before my eyes, she pounded the dough, stretched it and rolled it in-front of my eyes then offered me a glass of her Home Made Lemonade whilst I waited. She served up a cloudy lemonade in a clear glass with an ethical cardboard straw, not plastic. 2-3 minutes later she says “excuse me sir, your pizza is ready. I opened the box and there was the freshest pizza I have seen since I was in Tuscany at my friends family home in the mountains. Chicken, Mushroom and Spinach. The Pizza had the little bubbles in it that I like and was gorgeous. The only problem I had with it was I had my dog with me and The Pizza smelt that fresh that Trixie (my dog) was literally panting wanting a piece of Millie’s pizza, she offered me a bowl of water for Trixie whilst I eat.Whilst I was waiting other people were turning up and ordering and leaving within 5 minutes. Lots of little aluminium chairs in-front of her Green Van. I tend to eat out breakfast, lunch and dinner most days and I always look for the independent owners and the independent restaurants. If someone has gone into business in the food institute they’ve usually done it because they are passionate about something and this girl can cook. With this City of Culture thing coming up in 2021 I will be having to spend quite a bit of time in Coventry so if you see me and my dog Trixie come and say hello. Thank you Millie, gorgeous food, quick and healthy and re-energising. Bon appetit

Visited Selminas on a midweek evening and whilst it wasn't packed it was never empty and many tables were occupied with a broad variety of diners from couples , to friends, students, families and overseas visitors. Our party of 3 had a selection of vegetarian food, which was delicious, well presented and had an authentic mexican taste. It was great to be able find good vegetarian food that was something different from the usual and offered enough variety to keep us all happy! The ladies who served us were really friendly and helpful and I loved the original and quirky decor, which sets it apart from other places. Was nice to find an small independent restaurant which does a great job and serves great food! Just one small request....turn the music down a notch please!
