We booked this having seen the tv programme Amazing Places To Eat...we were not the only ones so making a reservation is essential...quite a small unassuming place but the welcome and passion from the staff is second to none...the place has a great atmosphere and is run very well...if you enjoy steak this is the place for you but the meat is served rare..so beware!....great bar next door!

Nicolas serves steak, full stop. There are no first courses and no side dishes besides salad and pimiento al piquillo. The steak, however, is simply delicious. Huge cuts, charcoal grilled rare to medium, served on a sizzling plate. It's as simple as that. And don't miss on the wine menu, which has a broad range of local, Spanish, French and Italian reds. One of those meals that you will talk about for ever. Everything we ordered was fantastic and there were 6 of us! What an incredible meal. We were actually going to Casa Julian but it was closed. Asking for another place we ran into the lady that delivers the fish to Burruntzi and gave us directions. We could not find it and asked at the bakery. The bakery lady walked us to the restaurant. Nice people in Tolosa!
