The restaurant sits behind another building and is somewhat hard to find, but this restaurant was awesome! My son, who is the pickiest eater ever, said the children's meal Chicken strips were the best he's ever had. Another son had the ribs and they fell off the bone and melted in his mouth. Hubby had steak and said that it was awesome! I had shrimp and another child had the hoagie sandwich-don't recommend those. Mac and Cheese was so good! Everything was great! Service was somewhat slow, but it was a busy Friday night. Definitely plan to return!

Baby Steaks are Filet Tips that I cut with a fork. Soup was a little tasteless, but edible. Salads appeared to be pre-made and were a little brown around the edges. Very casual atmosphere. Thanks for the feedback Peter...the filet tips are very good (I actually have a video a customer sent me of him cutting those 'baby steaks' with a fork)... I'm curious about which soup you had so that I might sample it and see what's up. We had switched to iceberg lettuce recently and it will brown if cut, so we instruct them to break or tear...looks like someone tried to cut some corners.

My wife and I needed something to eat before a movie and decided to have lunch at Sagebrush. The lunch special for the day was chicken fried steak so we each had that, which came with mashed potatoes and one side. Their special side dish was fried green tomatoes but for some reason it was a $1.99 up charge so we went with green beans. She started us off with tolls while we waited. Two nice sized steaks and a decent mound of potatoes, and a large pile of beans. Very tasty though I found the gravy too salty. Excellent value. A handful of craft beers on tap. WiFi. This is a local restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating available. Great atmosphere. Clean and lots of room Friday night we were looking for grilled seafood. Newport is not famous for its Seafood, especially grilled seafood. This great location has Grilled Salmon, Mahi Mahi, Scallops and Grilled Shrimp. I decided on Grilled Salmon with a spicy butter sauce (one of many sauces available) and a side of Scallops. They were wonderful. Diane had Grilled shrimp with homemade French fries. I can definitely recommend this restaurant as one of the best in East Tennessee. The owner/manager does all the cooking. It is consistently the absolute best food in East Tennessee.
