I think Larryâs is now trading on their location rather than the standard of the food. I tried something a little different from the run of the mill steak, pizza or fish and settled on the chicken & prawn curry. The food arrived quickly but was tepid and the poppadom was very oily. The service was good possibly because there were few tables occupied and the name boards on the outside section were removed some time ago. The atmosphere was therefore not what it used to be. Smokers on the outside section were also a nuisance.

As I said in a previous review. I donât like restaurant chains. It may be the South coast that the chains are very good but we had an excellent dinner at Spur. The burgers were tasty and not full of grit. The onion rings were fine to perfection and their chips were fresh. Well done. Bev Moore

Lots of food options, standard menu, very reasonable lunchtime curry menu, or the chesa nyama option, selecting meats from the butchery and having the staff braai (bbq for non S.A. people) it there on their grill. Sides are then selected from the regular menu. We visited on several occasions, all options were excellent, and all cheaper at feeding our family than most other places we tried. Service was always very friendly and relaxed.We also visited at night, when the place is a sort of restaurant/club, great music and atmosphere. Clearly the place to be!
