Waited full 30 mins to be served. Asked for our order before we had seen the steak tray, on which were not in the end dry aged but simply unusual cuts of (wet aged) meat (that in UK you would stew due to chewy nature). Dry aged was never mentioned, so that appears to be a bit of a âconâ. Wet aged ribeye was very good. Beer of the month off. Much of the wine rather expensive.HIThank you for taking the time to write to usJust to clarify all meat that was shown on that tray is all dry aged, We portion, vac pac and label 1 hour before service every day. So that tray has been matured in the dry aged fridge for 4 weeksIts a pity you did not try one of the cuts you say is stew meat as Those cuts, matured properly and treated with care can be more tender than a fillet and more flavorful that a Chuck. We stopped in Herman's for a leg stretch on a Saturday en route to the airport. We had had a large breakfast earlier so just wanted cold drinks on a hot day. A beer and an orange juice hit the spot. We sat outside at a shady table away from the hubbub of Saturday shoppers/tourists.We had to ask to use the toilets - we were taken round the corner by a member of staff and the key. They were super clean and smelt of bleach, having just been cleaned.All good.

Enjoyed great meal in friendly & welcoming surroundings. Discovered this place on way back from beach. Juicy, melting steaks & flavoursome oven baked fish + kids menu - highly recommend this place. Only wish it was closer to home (weâre visiting from Melbourne!) Thank you very much !!

After frequently walking past and seeing it empty we eventually tried it due to a group choice. I cant say that it was a memorable experience but the food was plentiful and spicy. The surroundings are stark, service a little slow and plates more full than select.Hi Princess of Hermanus ( Postscritpt 65 ) , is the Age 65 or the year you were born 1965 / thank you for your feedback , a little vague as I would have liked to know a little more , so I know where to improve OR really to meet your highness/ high road expectations , really would assist me with understanding your Psycho and will then try my utmost best to improve to your superior standards. Well , enough bantering , you deserve more but don't have the time and what I really want to say is that you are entitled to your opinion , of course you are !!!!! HOWEVER , you are a resident of this lovely town called Hermanus & that is the part that so many people in this lovely town Hermanus really don't like is that you actually go & criticize a local establishment on an International social media site ( an American LLC which we in SA have no control over ) embarrass & expose your local establishments to get your satisfaction or fix , well done my queen ! , hope you feel so great while you breath in the fresh sea air ( Given to you free of charge by our gracious creator ) and sip on your great wine ( Created by our great hard working folk ) Eat well ( Created by our great hard working folk ) who do everything for this wonderful town Hermanus , try hard , employ people , train coach , guide , participate in the local community & economy , pay rates and taxes , assist the various dependent organizations , help the aged , keep us secure , &&&&&&& all you really had to do was call me, come & meet me with a open candid discussion and tell me , assist me to improve in my finesse , however you sadly chose a route of destruction to insult an establishment in the making & the growing , which again sadly sounds like you are alone as many have said the opposite , can only compliment the food , the quantity , the quality , the taste , the atmosphere , the music , the aroma of great cuisine , the wine list , the drinks list , the great imported coffee , the wonderful friendly owner , the friendly staff , some experienced and some in training, its just a lovely place , with unique cuisine and dishes only found here in Hermanus , a special place with special people & nature, our Whales are friendly and thank us for being so hospitable , our international customers thank us for being so friendly , love our food , love our prices and just love Hermanus , except for our Princess that is so fine ( Has Finesse ) that just cant be constructive , hope you will have what it takes to come meet with me and discuss the lack of finesse in my lovely , beautiful establishment , looking so forward to meeting you , you are very special as you are the only one that can change this review , that's how special you are that I have spent so much time writing this response and my passion for Hermanus overflows and has for the last 12 years , we have done so well in Hermanus and it only deserves praises , keep the highs , drop the lows, promote Hermanus in all its ways in a positive light , if you have an issue my princess , talk about it with the right people & don't hide behind a mask and act in a cowardly manner, be nice to everyone, sort out issues and love life , love the hardworking folk of Hermanus , enjoy them as they are the very reason why Hermanus exists , take good care my princess, strive for the role of the queen and and be finesse Ciao Fabio ( Ps , Call me !! ) LOL
