We were in a larger group of 11 people. Service was very good, friendly and fast. The usual salad is simple but fresh and good. The steak was really good, exactly done as ordered. But in my company, 3 people were asking for Mayo along with the fries, and they do not have it. Come on Block House, get yourself some Mayo (not the dutch sweet stuff) in the fridge, and we will be even happier. Argentina wine was very good as well!

A typical German restaurant, to eat or just drink something. We were very tired one evening and the place was just there, near our hotel, It was a good choice anyway because the meat and the beer were best quality and the staff nice and friendly.

The setting is nice. They are friendly. German efficiency in attention and service. Not cheap but for downtown acceptable. However, the beef is terrible. My Ribeye was chewy (I requested medium rare) and not tasty at all. Needs a steak sauce. Like deep frozen walking dead. No idea why people review this place among the Hanoverâs best.

The location is rather subpar...but the food compensates for it. The meat plate with different meats from Argentina, Australia, USA and Ireland was quite delicious. And so was the child potato soup. Service is super friendly, all the meats get explained to you. Prices on the rather higher end. Definitely a good experience in a strange location.

Like meat; go here! We had dinner here while on business trip. Nice place - simple but effective interior. Menu is mainly based around meat (no brainer looking at the name). The bar is a sight to be seen.You either order straight from the menu (burgers etc), of they prepare a specific lump of various meats. As we had a long day we took a big sized Tomahawk prepared to share. Came well prepared, and cut ready to eat. Great proposition as a restaurant in a nice street. You do need to order sides.Paired it with a solid red wine and we had a great dinner. Not cheap but that was to be expected for 750+grams of meat and wines. Worth the money though, also because of the nice staff.Recommended!Thanks a lot, Brian! We loved having you as our guest and serving you one of our prime steaks, the tomahawk. Became a regular when in town... I appreciate the consistent high quality of the food, especially the meat. They offer different cuts and, if you wish, customized weight. Always something different on the menu to try. Shout out to Conrad and Melissa: really friendly and professional service(!)- yet casual atmosphere with a mixed business/leisure/visiting mostly local crowd. Modern and inviting ambiance. Learned to call ahead and make a reservation.
