We had been to this restaurant last year and had a good time( my husband still spoke of the waygu steak he had had there). I had salmon and the three others in the party had the steak. We were highly delighted with the food and presentation but, I am sorry to say, that the whole experience was let down by the poor service. Proper steak restaurant with huge selection of cuts, weights and country sources. Octopus salad starter very good and beautifully delicate carpaccio of octopus. Double veal chop main was enormous and well cooked. Seafood platter also very good. Wines are expensive but good International list. Malbec best value. Service very attentive. The grilled pineapple was delicious and something i wasnât expecting to enjoy at this type of restaurant. The service was great- special thanks to Anthon! We had the most fantastic night at Prime celebrating our anniversary where not only was the food simply outstanding but the staff were above and beyond this. A bit of an odd walk through the hotel to get to the restaurant, but proof is in the pudding...or drinks followed by dinner in our case. Start at the bar. Fabulous intimate venue with a well stocked bar for the happy hour cocktails. Follow this up with a table seating. What we loved is the spaciousness between tables for that extra bit of privacy. The well sized tables, open-seating, and opulent yet minimalist decor, host your decadent dinner meal all the better. We opted for the heirloom tomato salad to share, followed by the Chef recommended seafood platter for two which perfectly hit the spot. Cooked to perfection on most counts, amazing scallops; sea bass; mussels and calamari. A bit overdone for our taste with the lobster and prawn which is where we loose that last star. However, overly amazing meal, beautifully presented with impeccable service and ambience. We made reservations but they werenât needed. There was no alcohol available as we went during Ramadan. The atmosphere is true steakhouse with lots of weed and great chairs. The salad course was cold and fresh. The steaks my wife had the fillet and it was the most tender steak we have had in Doha. I had the ribeye, it seemed a bit smaller then I expected and was a bit more done than the mid rare I had order. The flavor was good but I would probably not order it again. The creamed spinach was delicious as were the garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. The roasted garlic head on the plate went well with the steaks. The twice baked potato was a bit dry and not like a tradition US twice baked potato. Again, I think I would skip it as there were better sides. Dessert was cheesecake. It was light and most. A great ending to a pretty good meal. We will return, I hope I make better selections and get more hits than misses next time. The desserts are gorgeous as well, and we nearly passed them up because we were full.
