You can choose what you want in the paella: seafood, pork, chicken or vegetable. You do have to wait 40 minutes for the paella but it was all worth it when it was delivered. Not sure why but we were the only people in the place on a Friday night--a bit off the main street but worth a trip down a side street. Outdoor setting is very rustic. Paella for 2 could have fed 6! We took some home. Highly recommended.

After our late evening arrival at the perfect La Nueva Posada in Ajijic, we walked over to La Bodega (maybe three minutes away). On arrival, we discovered the owner was hosting a party, and the place was filled with family, musicians, food and drink!Terrific inexpensive and varied menu. Highly Recommended.

Our friend wanted traditional Mexican food and so we brought her here. A normal Mexican restaurant serving the traditional fare. Pricewise, can't be beat. But taste-wise ... also can't be beat. Service was excellent and the ingredients were all fresh. Just wonderful!

A very popular roadside restaurant serving authentic excellent Mexican food at weekends. It is our favourite lunch place on Sundays, where we always have their signature Carnitas (pulled pork), served with beans, guacamole, nopal salad and tortillas. In addition, there is always a selection of some 8-12 salsas of different âheatâ ratings. Their beers are cold but beware of their margaritas! Parking is not a problem and we always take our three well-behaved dogs. Cash only.AivarsT
